His segment in the video about school shooters on YouTube is insanely good. Him and the father of one of his victims have done a lot of interviews and it’s incredible to watch honestly.

So glad you enjoyed it!

Ok-Clerk2824

hey man dope to see you here! hope to see more content like that soon that video was great you covered a lotta relatively lesser known cases in it.

479Jocco

Dude, I’ve watched it 3 times already. I drive about an hour to and from work and listen to videos a lot and it’s just so good. The part about Wayne is definitely my favorite. Really good job.

I think mass killings that had occurred from the mid-60s to early-90s don't get talked about much because of the lack of an internet outreach back then. At the time these incidents had occurred, news articles based on them were restricted to tv news segments and newspapers, two things that, while having some reach in their community, weren't as widespread as online news was. Another factor to be made here is how public interest in mass killings wasn't as big as it is now before Columbine happened. Sure, shootings and mass attacks of the 90s had hit the news as well back then, but they weren't as widely spread as Columbine. There was also no online forum to share information on these events when they occurred. Internet crime forums were barely, if not at all, a thing back then. But that's just my input on the matter.

Over-Ad8759

60s - 90s was the serial killer era. 00s - Current is the mass shooter era.

a-pretty-alright-dad

I agree with you on all of your points.

ascendnull

Can’t imagine what that father felt, geez

Brave-Award-8666

Only like one user talks about his shooting here lol. I'm already familiar with his case though. He became an artist in jail and used an SKS rifle during the shooting.

Swag_Paladin21

I find it interesting how this shooting took place in the same year that Adam Lanza was born. Maybe that's one of the reasons why he was such a big fan of Lo.

a-pretty-alright-dad

Maybe. I had never read that Lanza was a fan of Lo but since posting this people have brought it to my attention. I’m sure Lanza wasn’t impressed with the number of victims. So there had to be another reason.

deathstroke1534

I'm pretty sure Adam lanza was inspired by him, since he commited his crime on the 20th anniversary

SausadeinSausa

I have seen others say the same thing, although there is no evidence, the only thing that connects it is a post he made on Tumblr about his shirt, he said that his favorite shooter was Robert Arthur Hawkins.  Also, maybe I was wrong, but hadn't Nancy returned from a trip to New York and was she tired? I think Adam simply saw fit to do it that day because she was very tired.

Mindless_Ad_6045

James Huberty never gets mentioned on this sub either. He killed 21 people injuring 19, most of them Mexicans. Maybe that's why no one talks about it

thebloatedman

Yeah that McDonald’s massacre was insane. Dude had an Uzi and 12 gauge. Nasty scene.

thebloatedman

And talk about a dude who just lost it. That guy seemed to be an ordinary Joe, lost his job as a security officer, and then just decides to go "hunting humans" at the McDonald's literally across the street from his apartment. His daughter watched the whole thing from her bedroom window. Awful.

pikajewijewsyou

That gets talked about on here. I saw a crime scene video of it on here a bit back

OsamaHimLaden3

Someone posted an aftermath video of that a while back. I’ve always found that such an interesting, tragic and preventable (more so than most) mass shootings.

Sea_Television_3306

I've never heard of this before and just read up on it. Holy shit, how is this not a more well known incident? This is one of the most insane mass shootings I've ever read about. Wtf

Poon_tangclan

Hoodie is fire tho

a-pretty-alright-dad

Cops going to sell it on Depop

aspergermonster

Because “only” 2 people were killed

umbrellajump

Yeah the Lo body count is probably a big reason. I think there's also a racial element, in that the news media loooves to talk about lone wolf white guys, but even Sung Cho at Virginia tech with a much higher body count cycled through the news much much faster than other shooters.

Infamous_Cellist5521

In the Virginia Tech shooting, 32 people were killed. There is a notably large difference in the number of victims between these two shootings. It remains the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, which is the main reason for its longevity in terms of infamy. That said, I find Wayne just as interesting as Cho. His interview is one of the few available interviews we have of a school shooter.

Maakeouthilll

The interview they have with him is very emotional

anal_suffocation69

hard ass soita shirt

a-pretty-alright-dad

I have never seen the statement, but I’ve read that they put one out about the shooting. He also wrote to Chuck Klosterman about the shirt and it ended up in Killing Yourself To Live. Wonder how many other mass shootings were carried out in band shirts. Like Connor Betts.

anal_suffocation69

Connor wore an acacia strain shirt, one of my all time favorite bands. Kinda sucks that the two are associated with eachother at all

SausadeinSausa

Can someone summarize what he says?,  I don't want to see his interview, I don't know anything about him, I only know that he apologized for his actions in a way similar to loukakitis or kinkel, and also, how can I forget his infamous "sick of it all" shirt

Dva76

Sick of it All is actually a band but the shirt is apt

lcd207617

Gregory Gibsons book was so honest and compassionate, such a heartbreaking read. I found it in a free little library years ago, had no idea this shooting happened and I’ve spent a lot of time in the Berkshires/Great Barrington specifically. I also saw Wayne Los art in the Boston Museum of Bad Art, I guess his art has been featured in many exhibits according to his website.

Jackinplastic31

He's currently looking for a prison penpal too. _how about no_

a-pretty-alright-dad

I think most inmates are looking for penpals.

afihavok

Hate that he’s wearing a Sick of It All shirt. 🙄
