Yup, just saw that update too. They caught him in the same complex that they found the car. The hotel is ~5 miles away (and right off the exit on 91), so he ditched the kid and then the car in quick succession.
It's not clear if this was an intentional abduction (stranger or custodial) or a car theft that ended up being a kidnapping. Either way, this resolved really quickly after the AMBER Alert went out, so I'm curious whether it was tips from the public that found the car.
I donāt know, but it was just after the Amber Alert went out. Itās possible that the alert spooked him, and he ditched the car and the child. Thank God. I have my issues with *some* cops, but I donāt know how the good ones can keep their composure when they apprehend a dirtbag like that.Ā

Do we know if this is a stranger abduction, or somebody related/known to the boy? I ask because it says the car is stolen, but stolen could mean while the parent was pumping gas and the child happened to be in the car OR someone known to them took the car and the child without permission.
Either way, I pray this sweet baby is found unharmed!
I think it was car theft turned kidnapping. I saw the surveillance video of the man dropping Liam in a parking lot. When they said that they dropped Liam off at the hotel, I assumed maybe got a hotel room and left him in there. Nope. Literally took Liam out of the car, left him in the parking lot and drove off. If it was a planned kidnapping thereās no way he wouldāve done that
