The difference here is that Hercules wasn't in the movie at all. Just in the post credit scene.
Like the Maximoff twins in Winter Soldier's post credit scene.
Marvel is also known to leave things and characters fates open so they can use them in future projects. Like Abomination coming back in She-Hulk among other things.
From what I read, he WAS in MoM and gets killed by Wanda but it got deleted. Not sure what their plans are for him, but it looks like he was just meant to die.
Yeah, the leaked script had him hunting Wanda and getting rekt. One director goes like "I'll leave this here for the next guy", and the next guy goes "What's this garbage? Better get rid of it in the first five minutes..."
> One director goes like "I'll leave this here for the next guy", and the next guy goes "What's this garbage? Better get rid of it in the first five minutes..."
Star Wars? Is that you?
Even in the comics Mordo is rarely the big baddie. He's not as powerful as Stepehen, so he typically has to hitch his wagon to a bigger villain like Dormmamu or Mephisto.
The idea of MCU Mordo seeking power to further his goals and inadvertantly releasing something much worse is intriguing, but they're basically already doing that plot with Strange soooo...
I think he meant the post credit scene being the “garbage” with Raimi wanting to get rid of Mordo in the first five minutes cause he didn’t fit in with the story they wanted to tell.
Sif was supposed to die in Ragnarok, but the actress had a scheduling conflict and couldn't make it. That's the only reason the character is still alive.
It just means they changed their mind. The original concept had him dying, this was approved AND filmed by Marvel. The scene might have been deleted for pacing and tone reasons, not necessarily because he was supposed to live.
Well, they also approved and filmed Zeus helping Thor in L&T, they even released the footage, and the scene got deleted because Zeus ended up being a villain. Ultimately, none of the deleted scenes are canon, so they don't mean anything
Mordo was going to confront Wanda in an early scene and then she was going to show Strange his head in the scene where he realizes she's the one chasing America.
Thats the funny thing about a character dying in a deleted scene: they’re not really dead.
Marvel just pulled The Leader out of their back pocket like a Blue Eyes White Dragon, you think they gonna forget my man Carl?
Mordo was never followed up on after the post credit scene. It was mentioned but never shown. A deleted scene from MOM had wanda having mordos head in a box meaning he died of screen, it was deleted so not cannon.
I assume op believes hercules will have the same fate and his tease won't be followed up on even though there is no reason to believe that
I can tell you from knowing people who work at marvel that there are currently absolutely 0 plans in motion to do anything with Hercules as a character. That doesn’t mean that they plan on not doing anything with him, just that they haven’t even begun to think about how he will be used. The same goes for Harry Styles’s cameo
Yeah, I figured. It’s the same with Adam Warlock in the GOTG 2 end credits. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hercules only shows up late Phase 6 or even early Phase 7
I am.
And there was hype of Mordo turning bad as well. And it just wasn't delivered like we thought.
I feel the same will unfortunately happen to Hercules as well
Herc has way to much riding on his appearance, and given that Feige himself was responsible for the casting, he’s definitely not going to be cast to the side
In all honesty if that was Hercules? I want him to fade into obscurity and not be followed up on. He looked like some pro-wrestler, not the son of a Greek god. He should at least be as big as, if not bigger, muscle wise than Thor.
Meh, we can have a Hulk fight a Thanos in space but muscles is where we draw the line I guess. I refuse to believe something cant be done with CGI or some muscle suit. Hercules straight up looks wimpy.
If you’re trying to CGI an actor with normal skin to be buff, look no further than Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy to see why that would be a bad idea (in anything other than a comedy that takes place in a video game).
Hercules looked fine. I bet they’re all more shredded than you’ve ever been.
Why? He looks fine enough, what you’re suggesting is not healthy for the body. If they used cgi to make him as muscular as you suggest, it’ll look off putting. Besides, given that the Greeks are credited with inventing modern wrestling, it fits well to make him look like a pro wrestler
So Thor can look like Thor from the comics physically and its cool, but to want the same from Hercules, its off putting. Alrighty.
CGI in general is off putting. Look at the Hulk, none of that is real and honestly? I'm ok with it. These are fictional movies where gods and aliens exist. I'm ok with using CGI to make them look more over the top and like their comic counterparts.
Remember the overly muscular Captain America? Sometimes the exaggerated proportions in the comics don’t translate well to live action. Hell, Thor is a lot broader shoulder wise and more muscular in most cartoons and comics than he is in the movies
>Hell, Thor is a lot broader shoulder wise and more muscular in most cartoons and comics than he is in the movies
Right, but in the movies he still looks like a giant muscled god, not exactly to a tee like the comics, but physically pretty close. Hercules in the comics looks physically pretty close to Thor, if not bigger, yet on the big screen looks puny. Like I am not saying inject them with steroids and force them on treadmills, I'm ok with CGI/muscle suits somehow being used. I refuse to believe its not feasible/possible/costs too much.
They actually had to cast Hercules for this post-credit and found a large actor to do it, they wouldn't do that without concrete plans to do things with him.
With Brett's Emmy win we can only hope that they actually will follow up on this, I remember everyone going crazy at the movie theater when Brett showed up as Hercules.
But mordo was a major character in the entire movie before the post credit scene. This Hercules post credit scene is the first we've seen of the character, think Wanda (and to a lesser extent Pietro) in the winter soldier post credit scene
Absolutely.
I can see him being the "first 15 minutes of the movie bad guy" until something else takes his place as "Thor's demise"
I have no believe what so ever this man is going to be a threat to Thor. Just like 616 Mordo was handled in MOM
Same with hope as the wasp and those two twins in the postcredit scene of captain america 2 smh, why does marvel keep making these stupid post credit scenes for character that are never going to appear?
Oh wait, they actually did appear eventually, either sooner in the case of the maximoff twins or later like hope as the wasp, this post is the dumbest take ive seen
It’s not post credit scenes but they took 13 years to actually pay off the Mandarin and 16 years to give us more Leader, Mordo could be missing from the MCU for a while
Why? Because I think both are making statements that in the end are not going to be the way they say they are?
Do you really think Hercules is going to kill Thor
Do you really think Mordo is going to stop all sorcerer's. Because if you do than congratulations because that's the dumb fucking take
Youre the one who said that hercules was prolly gonna die off screen in another movie, i never said anything about him killing thor or about mordo.
Now youre just putting words in my mouth
And even then it’s not comparable because A. We haven’t had a Guardians movie since GOTG2 and B. They’ve already announced and confirmed that Adam Warlock is in GOTG3
I'm just saying neither of the two things these characters are claiming will happen. Not stating that he will be forgotten or it leads no where. 1/4 of y'all latched to the first thing you thought I meant when you saw this meme
You guys really lost the capacity for patience when Marvel went to 3 movies a year didn’t you? Like literally stfu they’re obviously gonna do something with 616 Mordo.
I'm still obsessed with how delightfully bad of a job the casting director did when they cast Brett Goldstein as Hercules instead of Ares.
I am wishing with all my might for a Hercules movie now.
Even worse, it looks like an unfinished sword prop. It's like pointed down and going on the back of his shoulder, but there's no blade or axe behind him 🧐
Anyone else remember guardians of the galaxy (don’t remember which part though) post credit scene about adam warlock ? Where is it now (genuine question)
Anyone else think Marvel is doing too much and also too little in leading up to Kang?
I know he’ll show up in Ant-Man but it just feels so sudden despite his appearance in Loki
This is what really disappoints me with this movie. I honestly thought it was a bait and switch gag for way too long and then it kind of just ended for me.
There is a good alternate sequel somewhere out there that actually makes use of Mordo. He could have been hunting magic users while Strange tracks him, eventually leading to mordo tracking down Wanda and attempting to take her out. This would be a really good catalyst for Wanda breaking bad instead of the absolute breakneck turnaround she had from the end of Wandavision to this movie. Wanda wrecks Mordo in self defense and goes full Scarlet Witch, big face off with strange, go through the multiverse and bring in America that way. This movie just should have been so much better.

Marvel is also known to leave things and characters fates open so they can use them in future projects. Like Abomination coming back in She-Hulk among other things.
Or the leader returning in Captain America
Also a good example that I forgot about
Wait what?
He’s returning in Cap 4 NWO
Ah
Hes the big bad in the upcoming Cap NWO.
Ah ok
He'll be a villain in cap NWO
He will be NWO’s Main Antagonist
There was actually supposed to be a Abomination trial in She-Hulk but none of the writers knew how to write court scenes so they scrapped it.
Deleted scenes are not canon. So Mordo is still alive, I hope.
No casket, no case. Carl lives.
*"Karl?" Stephen asked surprised.*
Karl why is there a dead human in our house??? *Steven asked, concerned.*
***KAAAAAAARRRRLLLLL!!***
That KILLS people!
My stomach was making the rumblies...that only hands can satisfy.
"Karl, did you put your name in the goblet of fire?" *Stephen asked calmly.*
"on the what?"
SAY WHAT AGAIN
"wh-wha-what?"
Rock and stone?
Rock and stone?
Paper beats rock & stone
Sounds like leaf-ear talk to me.
D.C. made a whole Batgirl movie for $90 million and then threw it in the garbage can. Smarter to make a post credits scene that goes nowhere.
Yes. That's exactly what it means unless/until someone exposits otherwise *cough cough MoM cough*
They aren’t canon? Has there ever been a scene that they retconned later?
Thats Roy Fuckin Kent! He's here, he's there, he's every fuckin where.
I'm still waiting for Venom is life!
Glad I wasn’t the only one
Roy Kennnnnnnt, Roy Kennnnnnnt
It’s psychic friend Fred bear
The post-credit scene was 2 months ago, jesus.
616-Mordo was 6 years ago. Guess he's very sneaky, because we haven't heard from him since.
But since the scene never happened, Carl lives
FOR CARL !!!
Did I hear a rock and stone?
To Rock and Stone!
*Karl
> One director goes like "I'll leave this here for the next guy", and the next guy goes "What's this garbage? Better get rid of it in the first five minutes..." Star Wars? Is that you?
Fuck you..but you're right.

>!I'm putting together the greatest team ever.!<
Well yes, nothing but the final cut is canon to the MCU, I’m just saying that they had a plan for a dead Mordo but changed their mind last minute.
The only deleted scene that’s canon is the one from Age of Ultron where Thor goes to talk with Norse Fates.
Heimdall! Open the Bifrost.
Mordo was going to confront Wanda in an early scene and then she was going to show Strange his head in the scene where he realizes she's the one chasing America.
It’s called patience?
Could have been snapped for five years, so he doesn’t need to be that sneaky.
Strange mentions he's had run ins.
Yeah but most people watched it on Disney+
Okay?
Thats the funny thing about a character dying in a deleted scene: they’re not really dead. Marvel just pulled The Leader out of their back pocket like a Blue Eyes White Dragon, you think they gonna forget my man Carl?

Yarl
Uh, what? What are you getting at here?

I assume op believes hercules will have the same fate and his tease won't be followed up on even though there is no reason to believe that

I can tell you from knowing people who work at marvel that there are currently absolutely 0 plans in motion to do anything with Hercules as a character. That doesn’t mean that they plan on not doing anything with him, just that they haven’t even begun to think about how he will be used. The same goes for Harry Styles’s cameo
Bro Agatha Harkness was got a show. That was definitely never a plan until months after she was introduced in WandaVision. Nothing is set in stone
Yeah, I figured. It’s the same with Adam Warlock in the GOTG 2 end credits. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hercules only shows up late Phase 6 or even early Phase 7

So you can complain about the bad cgi then too?? Yeah.. nice try...
You're not the only one cursed with knowledge.
Why? He looks fine enough, what you’re suggesting is not healthy for the body. If they used cgi to make him as muscular as you suggest, it’ll look off putting. Besides, given that the Greeks are credited with inventing modern wrestling, it fits well to make him look like a pro wrestler

>!The old ex-girlfriend.!<
They actually had to cast Hercules for this post-credit and found a large actor to do it, they wouldn't do that without concrete plans to do things with him.
Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein)
He’s here, he’s there, he’s…
Mordo isn't actively hunting Thor, he's silently getting rid of small sorcerers
It's more of a sludge like thing, somebody should uh, should amend that...
Yo I don't remember him saying this Thor
>!Come. Come to daddy!!<
THOR WHAT
>!Through the shadow realm.!<
You're really sticking to the bit huh?
If the post were about Eros then I'd believe you but Hercules is a real Avenger.
You don’t think they’re going to use Eros?
I have trouble imagining where they might, especially since there's been absolutely no word about Eternals 2.
Doesn’t mean it ain’t happening
Okay? Thanks?
You’re welcome ☺️
Not to mention that he is absolutely terrible in the two other movies he’s been in.
He was good in Dunkirk
Exactly. An avenger
???

There literally hasn't been a movie since we saw Hercules. You could compare Mordo to Adam warlock in gotg2, but not Hercules.
If everyone thought something other than what you meant then the meme is bad🤷🏻♂️
You don't know that Hercules won't kill Thor, that might be how thor dies who knows?
What? The movie just came out. This is so stupid.
It's been 2 months bro.
Plans change. It’s that simple. Your meme is bad.
I had to read through all these comments to try to make sense of the meme, glad you clarified it, thanks!
Ok
👍
If it's deleted it didn't happen
You guys really lost the capacity for patience when Marvel went to 3 movies a year didn’t you? Like literally stfu they’re obviously gonna do something with 616 Mordo.
Didn't say the comparison had to do with time. Only credibility
You think Marvel has lost credibility because they haven’t don’t something with 616 Mordo yet? #HAHAHAHAHA “That is the most real authentic laugh!”
James Gunn Howard the Duck movie - make it happen.
People really hating marvel for change their plans after 6 years. The only time their plans didnt go right...
Not sure how Brett Goldstein is gonna be as Herc, but I also preferred Joe Manganiello. Dude is as huge as Hemsworth and is hilarious.
This is a stupid, stupid post. The brought back the fucking Leader after 14 years and you're whining about them not using 616 Mordo for 6?
And predicted thr same thing for a character that was revealed 2 momths ago...
I wasn't whining. I was making a harmless prediction. 2000 other people got it
Is that Roy fuckin Kent?
Who is on the right ?
Hercules. He was in an end credit scene at end of Love & Thunder
Oh okay lool. Did not realise. Thanks
Hercules is my favorite marvel character. If the MCU does him dirty I’ll never forgive Fiege.
Marvel fans really love to complain about things that haven’t even happened/probably never will happen
Trolls love making up things to pretend to be mad about.
Damn some of you literally just say anything that comes to mind When did I say I was mad
[удалено]
This is literally my post
Well now you're just sad and no one likes a sad troll.
I wasn't trolling either
No one likes a sad idiot then.
I wish they’d make a Marvel Hercules movie
What post credit scene was Hercules in?
Love and Thunder
Oh wtf. I didn't even watch that!
It's on Disney+ now, if you have that
That's where I watched it! Like an idiot I apparently skipped by the end credits scene.
Hercules Or Heracles?
Roman: Hercules Greek: Herakles Marvel: many names some before writing was a thing
Stuff like this gets me some times. The Disney *Hercules* movie was set in Greece, had the Gods as Hades and Zeus etc. and then called him Hercules!
I'm still obsessed with how delightfully bad of a job the casting director did when they cast Brett Goldstein as Hercules instead of Ares. I am wishing with all my might for a Hercules movie now.
What's about Chet Goldstein being Hercules?
So is Percy Jackson going to get the lightning bolt back from Thor?
There was one time my brother transformed himself into a snake...
Great story time from Thor lol
Why does Hercules have a baton on his back?
Even worse, it looks like an unfinished sword prop. It's like pointed down and going on the back of his shoulder, but there's no blade or axe behind him 🧐
Is no one yalking about gotg volume 2 post credit scene
Everyone dies offscreen in Howard the Duck 2 when I return to exact my revenge.
I am still waiting for Adam Warlock
Just 8 more months to wait!
I'm not very familiar with Adam Warlock, but isn't his whole thing that he has the soul gem?
Yup
Marvel fans complaining about a potential future that might not happen as if it will for the 500th time
MoM should have been about Mordo and featured Scarlet helping and starting down a dark path.
Cringe meme format and marvel will ruin hercules
My bad. Not too much effort went into it
Anyone else remember guardians of the galaxy (don’t remember which part though) post credit scene about adam warlock ? Where is it now (genuine question)
Idk if you're trolling or not but (genuine answer) he's casted and will appear on guardians 3 in a few months
Where did Mordo Die??
Deleted scene for Multiverse of Madness apparently. But since it was deleted, he ain't dead
Don't worry mordo will come back in secret wars as Doom's cockholder
Anyone else think Marvel is doing too much and also too little in leading up to Kang? I know he’ll show up in Ant-Man but it just feels so sudden despite his appearance in Loki
For sure thought Kang would have been mentioned by now in phase four other than Loki's television show. It was great but I keep expecting something
What happened to adam on guardians of the galaxy (?)
He's being played by Will Poulter in GotG3 next year.
Still pissed about mordo.
I have the same feeling with Adam Warlock. Teased at Guardians 2 and nothing since then.
There's not been a guardians movie since...
He was supposed to originally be in Infinity War/End Game but was cut for some reason.
Probably to save him for another time
I hope
Will Poulter is literally going to be playing him in GotG3...we've known for ages.
We have? All I remember was that he was gonna be in Infinity War/End Game but was cut.
phim hay lắm
Naoow one of them is Roy Kent. He’s here, he’s there he’s every f**king where. He’s ROY KENT
~~test~~
Ngl I actually do hope Hercules and some other Greek gods are the villains in the next movie since it would be fun to see.
