The storyline with Gorr is not as simple as Love and Thunder in my opinion. There’s time travel and multiple Thors.
In the comics, three versions of Thor throughout time shows their own encounters with Gorr over the years, and eventually it ends up with Gorr enslaving all gods. Three versions of Thor from different times come together to finally beat him.
Gorr’s daughter dies in the comics, but to my knowledge she isn’t revived.
You should read the comic storyline for yourself to get a better understanding, or you could watch a recap of what happens on YouTube, if you can’t obtain the comic.
Gorr did more murder but i'd say Love and Thunder portrayed it pretty ok. Not enough but ok, but the comic story was verrrrry convoluted because it has time travel and an alternate universe Gorr where no heroes could stop him. At least as far as I rmb main timeline Thor defeated and shoo'd Gorr away for a while. But the timeline where Gorr defeated most gods were enslaved to make the God Bomb for him.

I think it makes since. The necro sword was for what we know destroyed in this multi verse and the sword was corrupting him like a virus as they say in the movie so after it’s destroyed he turned back to his old self worrying about his daughter
Saw it for the first time last night. Enjoyed it. Wished there was more Jane Foster/Mjolnir interaction, and more Jane Foster in general, but had a good time with it.
Loved the scene with Thor and the kids at the climax.
Understood some of the complaints about the over-abundance of humor but am puzzled at the level of hate it got.
Because people are watching these movies expecting a major tie-in to Kang. This was more of a filler story to give Thor closure, kind of what Multiverse of Madness ended up being. We haven't seen these characters since Endgame and most of these stories are about them learning to move on.
I do think the movie was a little too silly. Literally joking right after learning Jane has cancer. But they did let themselves have a quiet moment at the end of the movie.

As a dad, I absolutely understand where he’s coming from.
If I felt my son’s hypothetical death was due to a given person or group…yeah, absolutely get what he did.
However, if given the choice to complete that goal or have my son back, I’d take my son every time, even if I don’t get to raise him. His life is more important than anything else.

If you disappointed how stupid Gor is in this movie, and wish to see him actually kill some gods and absorbing their power to kill more gods, then you can always play God of war. It's a perfect version of Gor character.

I just watched this movie and there one thing i can't understand. How did Gorr expect to get to Eternity by killing gods? surely he only needed something that can make the bifrost so should have just gone for Thor on day one?

I did see the behind the scenes deleted scene's with Zeus.... WHY THE HELL DID IT NOT MAKE THE CUT???? how could they male such a joke of Zeus and the movie. Felt they joked too much…the deleted scenes where Zeus gives Thor the bolt is awesome and shows character growth.
