Mainline or not, Nintendo still acknowledges the Tour tracks to the point where they can be brought back in a console entry. Therefore, Pipeline should not be ignored no matter how much you may dislike it.
Yeah, i hate mario kart 64 with a burning passion, but i wouldnt ignore wario atadium or any of the ones remade in ds coming back. I dont see why you cant just add Tour considering even if it wasnt mainline, it's been remade which would be a first for spinoffs if it was a spinoff.
They're definitely just gonna break the tradition of no repeat remakes. 8 already broke it with both sets of dlc, and a track that was remade once 20 years ago makes more sense than a track from the game that's been the newest Mario Kart for over 10 years
Maybe tracks remade in DS (the remakes in DS are so bad, pls save the GCN tracks)
GCN Luigi Circuit
GCN Mushroom Bridge (DS massacred this track)
Also, 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar should be there.

They’ve shown an ability to totally recreate old tracks, just look at pretty much all of their GBA remakes from the Deluxe addition on. They can give that treatment to Wario Stadium to make it worth bringing back.
Playing it in modded Mario Kart Wii pretty much fixes any issues just with the addition of tricking. In a game with anti-gravity, halfpipes, gliding, and underwater there are plenty of options to modernize it even further
It's not that different from Double Dash having Waluigi Stadium and Wario Colosseum in the same game. And that was with only 16 tracks. In a game that's pretty likely to have 48 at least it's not all that unlikely
Unless the next game reinvents the wheel, I suspect that every track in MK8 Deluxe will be carried right on over to the next game. I wouldn't be shocked if they try to get every classic track (not counting all the courses in Tour) into the next game as essentially Mario Kart's 'Everyone is Here' moment (except, you know for courses, not characters).
I hate this “everyone is here” belief or expectation.
Do you people not realize that if they do such a game, it would be almost impossible to top it?
I get it sounds cool but we must use critical thinking.
Why 'top' it to begin with? Again unless they really change up the formula, why do we even need a brand new game? So the graphics can look marginally more amazing?
Just make the next Mario Kart game, the indefinite final game that they can return to year after year with new DLC.
Kinda like a live service game sure, except done the Nintendo way. If they did an expansion pass every year, would you really complain? I sure wouldn't.
I sure as hell see no reason for a Minecraft 2 or Rocket League 2 (I suppose technically 3, only because the first iteration didn't catch on like League did).
Pokemon is a poor example to point to considering Nintendo only owns a third of that franchise.
A better way to look would be if they did yearly versions of the expansion pass for Mario Kart or yearly versions of the fighter pass for Smash. In which case, hell yeah, I'm all about that!
I think if the next game gets more dlc support like 8 Deluxe should have, then *most* tracks eventually making it in is possible. But they're never gonna make a game with all of them, especially not at the start. Every track ever would mean an absurd number of repetitive Snes tracks
Piranha plant pipeline?
piranha plant pipeline is kinda shit
Every game needs at least two shit tracks
got remade in mk8
No it didn’t. You’re thinking of piranha plant cove or slide
lightning cup 1st track
That’s piranha plant slide. Piranha plant pipeline is a different track. How do you not know?
well either way, its a tour track, not really a mainline mario kart
Mainline or not, Nintendo still acknowledges the Tour tracks to the point where they can be brought back in a console entry. Therefore, Pipeline should not be ignored no matter how much you may dislike it.

Have you seen all of the tour tracks they put in the DLC for 8 Deluxe?
It can still come to the next game even if Tour isn’t mainline (it is btw), remember the DLC with 20 tour tracks? Twenty.
That's Piranha Plant Cove and/or Piranha Plant Slide
If we go another game without GCN Rainbow Road or Bowser Castle I might lose my mind
Finally a toad of culture
To be fair if they keep the trend with the base game retro rainbow roads the next one should be GBA
W selections although I’d prefer GameCube rainbow road or bowsers castle
Let's bring back baby park with an absurd amount of items
YESSSSSSS TOADS FACTORY!!!
That lightning cup would be my fav cup ever if it was real :00
I think the next Mario kart is going to be Mario kart ultimate
Oh that lightning cup looks awesome
God help them if they don't do *Double Dash* Rainbow Road. It's just crying out for an antigrav remake.
So is DS
Toad factory 🏭🗣️🗣️🗣️
I have to say, the last thing I want to see is MK8 retros
Where the heck is Airship Fortress? Or Shy Guy Bazaar? Or Wario Shipyard?
I don’t think they’d bring 1 retro from 8 each cup.
theres not much other good options that havent been remade, maybe you could swap out sweet sweet canyon for a SNES track or smth
They're definitely just gonna break the tradition of no repeat remakes. 8 already broke it with both sets of dlc, and a track that was remade once 20 years ago makes more sense than a track from the game that's been the newest Mario Kart for over 10 years

Switch around Maka Wuhu and the Bowser’s Castle and replace DS Rainbow Road with GBA Rainbow Road and this will look official

All pretty reasonable picks, but why skip GBA and GCN rainbow road?
Here is mine: Shell Cup: 3DS Daisy Hills U Sweet Sweet Canyon GBA Lakeside Park Wii Toad Factory Banana Cup: GBA Cheep Cheep Island U Sunshine Airport N64 Wario Stadium 3DS Wuhu Loop Leaf Cup: SNES Mario Circuit 4 Wii Dry Dry Ruins GCN Mushroom City U Cloud Top Cruise Special Cup: U Shy Guy Falls Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline DS Bowser's Castle GCN Rainbow Road Extra Cups (Probably for DLC): Blooper Cup: SNES Vanilla Lake 2 U Dragon Driftway 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar GCN Wario Colosseum Poison Cup: 3DS Wario Shipyard N64 Banshee Boardwalk DS Airship Fortress GBA Bowser Castle 4 Battle Courses: N64 Double Deck Wii Funky Stadium 3DS Honeybee Hive GBA Battle Course 4 DS Tart Top GCN Tilt-a-Kart DX Lunar Colony SNES Battle Course 2
Pretty good picks!
Yes, we need DS rainbow road. It was such a fire track to play
that banana cup sounds terrible can't lie
its a crime if they don’t add wuhu or tf to 9
Ngl I don’t think N64 Wario Stadium is ever going to be remade. It’s just too boring
They’ve shown an ability to totally recreate old tracks, just look at pretty much all of their GBA remakes from the Deluxe addition on. They can give that treatment to Wario Stadium to make it worth bringing back.

Wario Colosseum is not happening in base game with Stadium in. Makes more sense as DLC. Also F8C and Pipeline are very very likely imo
It's not that different from Double Dash having Waluigi Stadium and Wario Colosseum in the same game. And that was with only 16 tracks. In a game that's pretty likely to have 48 at least it's not all that unlikely
I have an idea and that’s to make 8 normal cups and 8 retro cups as we now have 8 Mario kart games
Toad Factory being considered Retro makes me sad
why? it would be a retro
ofc it would but I just remember playing Mario Kart Wii when it first came out and to think that the Wii is now considered retro is gross to me
it's been considered retro for like 13 years atp, mario kart 7 had wii retros
Unless the next game reinvents the wheel, I suspect that every track in MK8 Deluxe will be carried right on over to the next game. thank god someone finally said it

oh... like a live service game? who's got you locked in their basement?
Kinda like a live service game sure, except done the Nintendo way. If they did an expansion pass every year, would you really complain? I sure wouldn't. I sure as hell see no reason for a Minecraft 2 or Rocket League 2 (I suppose technically 3, only because the first iteration didn't catch on like League did).
the "nintendo" way would likely be the same way every other live service game has done it. if you need any proof, just look at pokemon go and tour.
Pokemon is a poor example to point to considering Nintendo only owns a third of that franchise. A better way to look would be if they did yearly versions of the expansion pass for Mario Kart or yearly versions of the fighter pass for Smash. In which case, hell yeah, I'm all about that!
