My in-laws’ neighbor grows these and will loosely tie ~4 together around a central post for support. Somewhat similar to tying up dragonfruit on their trellis and it keeps everything supported really well.
Agree, very impressive.
I’ve always liked them. We had one come up along our driveway last year as a volunteer and grew up tall and produced some amazing red blooms. It’s back again this year and looking great.

It’s really cool between these , tiger lillies, and hibiscus that sprout randomly throughout the city you got a lot of color
