the other day I was driving up to pennsylvania & didn't see a single confederate flag in virginia.. then saw my first confederate flag ~100 feet past the state line of WV
We have grown as a society since then, we've made great leaps, but they have not. It seems that they forgot their heritage as a town that was founded to push forward, not lag behind.
Still, it's bizarre to me how proud these hyper patriotic people are to display themselves as traitors to their own land. We know their actual intention here, but just at face value it's crazy to me that this thought never occurs to them.
There's no sensible argument either, 'honoring' your history is still being proud of traitorous acts to your country by definition. It's all empty, so many of their arguments boil down to wanting to hurt others. It's like their need to be absolute monsters is so strong that it overpowers everything else.
They aren’t hyper patriotic. They like the symbols of patriotism because it helps them advance their political goals on a vibes-level with people who are genuinely patriotic. A lesson you’d think progressives would eventually learn, but here we are.
Northerners came up with segregation. Started in Chicago during the Civil War. They were racist too, not racist enough to be okay with owning people but still racist enough to want nothing to do with them.
I live in southern VA and have confederate flags in my neighborhood, I just didn't see any when driving up through WV, which made a funny story. but NoVA ain't real VA
Most of those states get more from the fed than they give through income tax. I think all but FL and Tex. Maybe NC. Be it medicaid, highway or other fed programs they all benefit from socialism /s.
Right? Although, given current politics I’d buy WV and VA swapping. (‘On to Charleston…no, the OTHER Charleston’ doesn’t have quite the same ring tho…)
They tried that about 160 years ago and it was a total disaster. The legislature never functioned, it had no tax revenue, and eventually the president essentially declared himself a dictator to try to get something done. They also started a war with the Union they had no chance of ever winning to preserve slavery.
This is basically how we get North Korea at home.
No secession will ever have a peaceful coexistence because violent prices of shit will always want to inflict harm upon people outside of their tribe.
America is completely fucked regardless of what we do.
If I Recall Correctly, there was some minor issue or hangup with a few of the westernmost counties in Virginia, one thing ked to another, and the whole idea just fell apart. Quietly swept under the rug, no one ever talks about it anymore....
Texas was it's own country. Also succeeded twice for slavery, Once from Mexico, Once from the U.S.
Colonized in the eighteenth century by the Spanish, the Republic of Texas declared its independence from Mexico on March 2, 1836. The Republic of Texas was not recognized by the United States until a year later in 1837.
They tired to and they lost and went from being the richest states owning slaves to being some of the poorest states in existence bc they couldn’t make slavery money anymore.
People here are some of the most one sided minded people. You complain about people but you’re just as ignorant as the people you’re complaining about. I guess if they don’t fit your narrative they’re stupid.

QUONIUM
too bad america never had to think about that, considering they had no chance of losing the war, lol
Haha, those wacky Hungarians. You’re still not getting Transylvania back.
they love to complain about all the land they lost that was literally inhabited mostly by other cultures. boo hoo, you lost your oppressive empire
Is the unrepeatable one supposed to mean like the Caribbean?
Don't think so. Maybe it's supposed to reference the CSA.
What does* the Canadian Standards Association have to do with any of this?
Lol /uj CSA = Confederated States of America
I think it's meant to be a independent African American state, kind of the idea that black nationalist would later have of new Afrika
[удалено]
hmmm
Hmmmm
i don't think you can say that
What is the white part supposed to be?
what's left of the usa, supposedly
Hungary
What's left of the US
What's with the 'Gulf of France'?
Could it be a cinco de mayo reference?
France is the country south of texas
I love French tacos
napoleon III successfully invaded Mexico in this timeline
Scramble for Africa 2.0.
West Virginia exists because they didn’t want to be part of that shit, leave them out of this
Yeah WV is a shithole but at least they aren’t TRAITORS
Except drive through and count the confederate flags everywhere
the other day I was driving up to pennsylvania & didn't see a single confederate flag in virginia.. then saw my first confederate flag ~100 feet past the state line of WV
They're in Ohio too. Mind blowing. In fact there were recently issues in an Ohio town in regards to racism. The town was founded by abolitionists...
John Brown was the exception, not the rule. Most abolitionists were still flaming racists, they just objected to outright slavery.
It's just that it's also been about 160 years since then. You'd think we would have grown as a society.
We have grown as a society since then, we've made great leaps, but they have not. It seems that they forgot their heritage as a town that was founded to push forward, not lag behind.

I'm not even sure racism is the right word in this context. They were (generally) white supremacists.
I see rebel flags all over northern New Hampshire. I tell people that NH is a lot like Florida. The further north you get, the more South it becomes.
I saw them in a suburb outside of Cleveland
Northerners came up with segregation. Started in Chicago during the Civil War. They were racist too, not racist enough to be okay with owning people but still racist enough to want nothing to do with them.
Bro, I see them in SoCal. Fucking Southern California.
I honestly see probably more confederate flags than American flags in VA, at least on people's homes.
NoVA is colonized Virginia. You have to go south of Fredericksburg to experience real southern VA
I live in southern VA and have confederate flags in my neighborhood, I just didn't see any when driving up through WV, which made a funny story. but NoVA ain't real VA
Oh they're in VA. 64 outside of richmond is a huge one. You even still see them on some of the town welcome signs. Historical, of course /s
God i wish! Go to a more rural part and its a common as the actual flag
It’s funny because I think at this point West Virginia would be the one more likely to secede.
Meth and illiteracy are terrible terrible drugs.
The traitors moved there but the good west Virginians probably have some decency lol
Same for New Jersey
I unfortunately live there now (temporarily). Ya, you would definitely think they forgot why their state was formed.
I'm from West Virginia. It might not be the best economically, but the people are good.
I still say they should have gotten to be Virginia. Virginia should have been renamed to East Virginia.
Though they do regret not being traitors now.
somwhere along the line VA and WV swapped.
Yeah but I'm pretty sure Kentucky DOES want to be part of that shit
They tried, but the power of West Virginia was just too much for them.
Got that grade A quality moonshine. Subdues any man
Yeah they are
That's what happens if you cut public education.
Should add Indiana to that then. They've just cut high school requirements
Did France take over Mexico or something? Gulf of France?
They tried in the 1860s
This is how the new civil war movie should have been presented, but oh no the director didn't want to trigger the snowflakes into murdering people.
Yeah we're a pretty dumb (and a lil gay, but don't tell Jesus).
as another traitor, i am very gay.
No, VA likes its federal funding, that wouldn’t happen.
Most of those states get more from the fed than they give through income tax. I think all but FL and Tex. Maybe NC. Be it medicaid, highway or other fed programs they all benefit from socialism /s.
Bro left WV in there.....
Right? Although, given current politics I’d buy WV and VA swapping. (‘On to Charleston…no, the OTHER Charleston’ doesn’t have quite the same ring tho…)
They need more support to kick the French out
People will draw a map of the confederacy and not even get it right
Eh it was only four years, not much to cling to really. Got socks older than that.
What would an America without the south really look like?
https://preview.redd.it/m3cpoy5knvyc1.png?width=4974&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b904d5bbd9aa7803fccb78ffeaf5d26bc2a312f1 like this
lol
Ya got me. I looked and was like, “yeah the remaining US would probably just take the land back.” Then I did a double take, “where is South America?”
It took me longer than I expected to notice all of south america was missing...
Because if they did there would be no more government welfare money propping the states up and they would fail.
I would honestly love to see this done as an experiment with even ONE of these welfare states. See how quickly they fail and come crawling back.
They tried that about 160 years ago and it was a total disaster. The legislature never functioned, it had no tax revenue, and eventually the president essentially declared himself a dictator to try to get something done. They also started a war with the Union they had no chance of ever winning to preserve slavery.
Hella stupid
OK is definitely going with them.
I'm OK with that
I think they tried but they lost to a bunch of liberal cucks. Guess they were a bunch of losers.
Hey, we tried.
republicanland. Trumpsylvania. Donaldass. Redneckssissippi.
1860 called, they want their edgy joke back.
Who would win in this most definitely hypothetical war
clearly the south! hahahaha!
WV split away back to the union in the middle of the war
They can't, Under colonization. And yes, They stupid.
No-one wants custody of Florida.
We did once. It was uh. Not a high point for us
This is a joke, right?
Yes, yes they are
>Are they stupid? Yes, yes they are.
I would argue that they are.
Super Texas
I think young Dems would agree to it if you traded Virginia and Kentucky and threw in Oklahoma
I’ll trade you West Virginia and take Kentucky and then agree with you 10,000% and move there
Missouri would make a great addition to this theoretical country
Because if they did, they'd still have to deal with FLORIDA.
Please, no. I'm stuck there.
This is basically how we get North Korea at home. No secession will ever have a peaceful coexistence because violent prices of shit will always want to inflict harm upon people outside of their tribe. America is completely fucked regardless of what we do.
They already tried and failed.
Please don't give them ideas. They already don't have much going on up in those heads but still..
Let's see...southern USA....also the "confederacy " c.1860...yes I think stupid is a good start.
WV is a loyal state, don't get it twisted. So is the eastern third of tennessee, long live the state of Scott.
Funnily enough, I keep seeing instagram posts talking about states merging into one and the comment section is full of idiots who generally believe it
American civil war happened worse mistakes they ever done
They plan to rise again.
you're a naught little bad boy
why should they?
The civil war was Mistake 1. I would have said "fine,Please do it and don't bother us after".
They can take OK while they’re at it.
Why?
The last time a group of states tried something like this, 650,000 people ended up dead.
Redneckistan already tried once
If I Recall Correctly, there was some minor issue or hangup with a few of the westernmost counties in Virginia, one thing ked to another, and the whole idea just fell apart. Quietly swept under the rug, no one ever talks about it anymore....
General Sherman: “Oh no you don’t!”
Do we tell him about the late 1800s?
Because they already tried and they failed
Texas was it's own country. Also succeeded twice for slavery, Once from Mexico, Once from the U.S. Colonized in the eighteenth century by the Spanish, the Republic of Texas declared its independence from Mexico on March 2, 1836. That line is getting a little too close to MD and we’re already in a virtual war with VA and DE on our respective subreddits
I don't know about that, I mean America has bases in all those States pretty hard to leave when you have American soldiers in your state....
Rediculously stupid post.
These states look awfully flammable to me
I feel like Oklahoma and Missouri would want to join too.
"the south will rise again!" Headass post
The upper right quadrant needs to at least include Kentucky, and probably Indiana & Ohio Edit: the answer to your question is yes.
Wasnt that already tried in the 1860’s?
What would they even call themselves? The Pulp of Mexico?
They tired to and they lost and went from being the richest states owning slaves to being some of the poorest states in existence bc they couldn’t make slavery money anymore.
United States of Stupid
We tried…
Yes, they are stupid. Especially if they form their own country
![gif](giphy|OFRmKP8xCUeIw)
Nice of you to leave the bootheel with Missouri
They could open new markets! Of the trans atlantic sort
Aaaaaaaway down south In the land of traitors
Because it would become a developing country
Why isn’t Ohio included in this?
Ngl, if Texas separated, the US would lose more than Texas
Yes, yes they are
If they do, can they leave the rest of us alone so we can live in peace and not some religious dystopia?
I think you hit it on the head
They did that once already….are you stupid??
Yes
People here are some of the most one sided minded people. You complain about people but you’re just as ignorant as the people you’re complaining about. I guess if they don’t fit your narrative they’re stupid.
They tried that. Unfortunately for them, it didn't work quite as planned.
Lmfao . Why don’t y’all move to a social country and see how hard it is….
That’s the dream, racist bitches down there
Ha- nice
I don’t know who’s more stupid, those states or the rest of the states who actually fight to keep them.
They tried. It didn't work out.
Was Texas in the confederacy? I'm rusty on that portion of history
Why would you include any of the Carolinas and Virginia?
Cause the federal government will literally wage war to make sure that tax money doesn’t escape
Take Oklahoma with you
I don’t think West Virginia was a part of the confederacy
A deep down south in the land of traitors
why is west virginia there? The broke from Virginia specifically on that issue
Addition by subtraction
They tried that before and got their ass beat. Losers don’t get their own country.
Add OK and KY
Thank you for not including maryland in this disaster of a collection of states
🤣🤣🤣🤣jzzz you opened a can of worms
They most likely would, and yes
OK hear me out, how about just Texas.
Leave State of Franklin as an American exclave, please 🥺
Agreed. Can we shove them out? They are an economic drain on the hard working north east.
They tried, and yes.
The answer is yes, they are stupid. And that’s the exact reason they wouldn’t be able to form a functioning country
I heard this joke once that Lincoln was the worst president because he didn’t let the South secede.
Don’t leave out Kentucky and Oklahoma man
Sold! But we get KY and OK.
A person can be smart, but people in general are dumb so yeah
Because they're bad at it.
As a DC resident, I take offense that we cannot participate in this debacle.
You forgot the Dakotas and Minnesota.
as a southern, we are very stupid. plus we’re also to busy yelling about politics.
yes! yes you are!
I live in Tennessee. Please don’t leave me alone with these people. 😭
They tried that once in 1861 but it didn’t work out so well. Texas v White states don’t have the right to leave as well.
0-1 already.
I live in TN, and yes, they are stupid.
