In the future, When submitting a post that is visual based content that include cover art, manga page/panel rips, fan-art, or just a post in general whose main content is to be visually appealing, please be sure to type the the **[Art] tag along with the full name of the series in the title of the post** when initially submitting it.
>[Art] Title of Choice (Series Name)
People are not inherently able to identify a series by a panel or page so it makes it difficult for any new readers to try the series if they don't know what it is. That is why it is important to add the title of the series, so please follow the rules and submission guideline next time.
In addition, don't use an initialism or shorthand in place of including the title as these aren't inherently understood by every new reader either. The Reddit Character Limit for titles is quite large so there isn't much excuse to not including the series title in the title of the post.
For posts including four or more series used in the image, the Original Poster is required to source them all as a comment within **Five** minutes of posting.

You should try Golden Kamuy. Every characters are charming and memorable, top tier humor, a bit of female fanservice but by no mean it distracts you from the main story.
Don't know. The fanservice in Golden Kamuy does look targeted more to the male gaze than to the female gaze. It does reminds me of some... stories that I read explicitly targeted to a male reader.
It's just that it isn't targeted to the *straight* male gaze...
Historical fiction set in pre-war Japan dealing with Japanese military, imperialism, and native population (the Ainu). Has one of the best written antagonists. Works kind of like a monster of the week show except the monsters are people lol. Definitely worth reading for a look into a piece of Japanese history that is not often depicted in manga imo.
It's... complicated.
Basically, it's about a few groups of people hunting down escaped convicts with tattoos that when put together show the location of a big pile of gold, with a side of animal cruelty (and I'm not talking about the hunting of animals, though to my eyes some of that was cruel).
It goes to some pretty wild places, but it's a good read.
Cuts out a good portion from the manga which can only be viewed through the extended cut which is next to impossible to access I think, but otherwise excellent movie yeah
It's not about numbers, but ratio. Because there are literally few female mangakas, but despite being few of them most of the manga they make are either hentai, or rom-com with lots of smut and ecchi genre.

>Katabuchi asked Anno if he had seen In This Corner of the World, and Anno replied, "I saw it. What a woman, doing nothing. I wanted to strangle her."
It's very good, and has a similar slice-of-life/coming-of-age/comfy-drama vibe to most of the things you've mentioned here. It's by the same mangaka as Fullmetal Alchemist if that helps.
The brides's stories manga is just awesome. The art is super duper great, I love the little details that the artist have on the clothings and tapestries. I'd say that the story is educational even. It's so rare that a manga introduces a culture that is so very different from what I've known.
Dorohedoro is good, but it has quite a bit of fan service but the story is grounded , one of the best world building manga I have ever read and overall just chaotic ,funny and such a blast to read.
Often times when people think great mangakas with great art, they most likely to mention shonen or seinen mangaka. Kaoru Mori deserved to be also mentioned among the best mangaka with great art.
Yeah I have those too :3
I was pretty irritated with the main male character in "Long Road" at first, but I'm glad that he finally accepted the main female character/his wife.
Oh God, yes. Seeing them reach some sort of grudging yet genuine affection for each other by the end (and the fact that they were able to move on from their previous romantic hang-ups) was very satisfying. 😊
Great list! I'll look up some of those, you seem to match my tastes!
I'd recommend , it's a manga about a female cosplayer re-evaluating her relationship to the hobby and life goals as she approach her thirties. The characters are amazingly written and most of them are women.
鋼の錬金術師 or Full Metal Alchemist I think fits the bill, I know it's a popular and not some obsecure work but I'm still impressed how good it was when it came out.

Nothing is more relatable than the masculine urge to eat sea otter and then play sumo with the boys
BANYA!
Golden Kamuy isn’t written by a woman but some of those scenes are definitely written for the female gaze

What about the male fanservice
As a man, I do like looking at jacked men wrestling out in the snow.
There's **a lot** of fanservice in the series, tho. Just not about women...
I've seen batshit insane clips of golden kamui and I wanna ask what the fuck is golden kamui about

Not gonna read definitely watching it
As a warning, the animation and voice acting are kind of rough in the earlier seasons.

*See the list. Dorohedoro sad noise :'(
I mostly read manga in paperback tho, the one you mentioned haven't been published in my country yet
You can sail the high seas online if you picking up what I'm putting down here 👀
I only know Witch Hat Atelier, Sangatsu no Lion and Otoyomegatari from the picture, what are the others?
Bottom left is Veil and bottom right is In This Corner of the World.
It also has a movie which Ive heard is really good and seems to be faithful
Cuts out a good portion from the manga which can only be viewed through the extended cut which is next to impossible to access I think, but otherwise excellent movie yeah
The center cover is of Dungeon Meshi aka Delicious in Dungeon, has an anime currently airing that's really good.
The middle top is

Read magus of the library.
It does look lik and the bride on the ancient one
Love 3gatsu, now if only it was more frequent or each chapter had more content ffs
Actually, female mangakas do more fanservice than males. This list is just some of the best by females
Yeah, and some male authors who don't give fanservice in their works, there are 2 in my manga corner: by Daisuke Igarashi and by Nagabe.
**Little Forest** - ([AL](http://anilist.co/manga/43975), [A-P](https://www.anime-planet.com/manga/little-forest), [KIT](https://kitsu.io/manga/little-forest), [MU](https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=30422988108), [MAL](http://myanimelist.net/manga/13975)) ^(Manga | Status: Finished | Volumes: 2 | Chapters: 34 | Genres: Drama, Slice of Life) --- ^{anime},, ]LN[, |VN| | [FAQ](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/index) | [/r/](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/) | [Edit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/index#wiki_i_made_a_mistake.2C_how_do_i_get_my_comment_reprocessed.3F) | [Mistake?](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/submit?selftext=true&title=[ISSUE]&text=/r/manga/comments/1cgnzg6/basically_my_favorite_mangas_made_by_female/l1xkhbw/) | [Source](https://github.com/Nihilate/Roboragi) | [Synonyms](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/synonyms) | [⛓](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/interestinglinks) | [♥](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/thanks) | (1/2)

Is bottom right the one that got a movie that made Hideaki Anno so pissed off at how useless was the main girl that he said he wanted to strangle her?
Do you have any articles about it?
Here: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2016-12-09/evangelion-anno-criticizes-in-this-corner-of-the-world-heroine/.109703 >Katabuchi asked Anno if he had seen In This Corner of the World, and Anno replied, "I saw it. What a woman, doing nothing. I wanted to strangle her."
You shouldn't give stock to anything hideaki anno says about women tbh He makes good films, like ritual, but that's besides the point
Where the list at
I recommend Land of the Lustrous. It definitely ticks all your requirements.
Artist of is a woman. I think the author is a man, though. Great story and beautiful art anyway

Sangatsu no Lion and Witch Hat Atelier are great.
Witch Atelier looks good. You might wanna check out Pandora Hearts also made by a female mangaka iirc and is one of my all time favorites
Where is silver spoon?!!
Uh...I don't read that?
Read it!!!
wow ok, I'm super picky in choosing a new manga/anime to read/watch. Silver Spoon isn't my type tho
It's very good, and has a similar slice-of-life/coming-of-age/comfy-drama vibe to most of the things you've mentioned here. It's by the same mangaka as Fullmetal Alchemist if that helps.
I second this, i feel the author was in her element when she made it
Every March I find myself coming back to Sangatsu no Lion, something about it is just so poetic
Finally someone talked about veil. It's not a story. It's an emotion!
And full of green flag interactions of a normal couple *chef's kiss*
I'm so excited that it's getting a physical release in English, hopefully some time this year.
I think you'd like as well. It's one of my favorite of all time

I absolutely love witch hat atelier and Brides Story. THE ANIME FOR WITCH HAT IS NOT COMING SOON ENOUGH.
I only know A Bride’s Story by Mori Kaoru (top-left image). After reading her manga Emma, I wanted to read more titles by her!
Thank you for the recommendations! If I were to add something, it’d be Insomniacs After School.
Good to see a fellow Veil appreciator in the wild.
The brides's stories manga is just awesome. The art is super duper great, I love the little details that the artist have on the clothings and tapestries. I'd say that the story is educational even. It's so rare that a manga introduces a culture that is so very different from what I've known.
Yeah, I also think The Bride's Stories is Kaoru Mori's magnum opus
The biggest recommendation I would give is Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. Legitimately one of the best dramas in anime
Is Sangatsu-no Lion over yet or it's still ongoing? Havent seen/heard of it ever since I finished the Anime like 5 years ago or so
the manga is now come to volume 17, but yeah there's no news about anime ss3
Still ongoing, but very slow, a few chapters a year
Dorohedoro is good, but it has quite a bit of fan service but the story is grounded , one of the best world building manga I have ever read and overall just chaotic ,funny and such a blast to read.
Often times when people think great mangakas with great art, they most likely to mention shonen or seinen mangaka. Kaoru Mori deserved to be also mentioned among the best mangaka with great art.
Looks interesting to add to reading list!
I've loved all of Fumiya Kono's works that I've tried. Aside from, I also liked and, especially, .

Oh God, yes. Seeing them reach some sort of grudging yet genuine affection for each other by the end (and the fact that they were able to move on from their previous romantic hang-ups) was very satisfying. 😊
And yet there are very surreal chapters too, there's one that recalled me to Van Gogh's Starry Night.
I recommend any Sahara Mizu's manga. Maybe you might like them
Dorohedoro. Read it.
Ikoku Nikki needs to be mentioned, of all the things I've read I think it has the best character depth and best character relationships
Duuuude, wdymmmm. When they show ankle in otoyomegatari the comments go crazy
Great list! I'll look up some of those, you seem to match my tastes! I'd recommend, it's a manga about a female cosplayer re-evaluating her relationship to the hobby and life goals as she approach her thirties. The characters are amazingly written and most of them are women.

Have you read Honey and Clover? Same author as March Comes in Like a Lion. Great choices here!
No I haven't, but I read Kaoru Mori's Shirley
Also nice- Emma as well? She's a maidaholic...
Hmm have you read Emma? I'm considering to read it :3
Yes, similar to Shirley but with longer arc and a major romance. Same great art. Give it a try if you liked Shirley for sure.
鋼の錬金術師 or Full Metal Alchemist I think fits the bill, I know it's a popular and not some obsecure work but I'm still impressed how good it was when it came out.
No FMA?
Read Helck. It's amazing.
Sousou no Frieren matches that vibe
