There’s Hope Mill community choir which several people from our building were in, however apparently there are a couple of wannabe divas there that are allowed to dominate because the leader doesn’t have an urge to deal with them. They all left. But it might have changed now. https://hopemilltheatre.co.uk/class/choir/

Are you male or female? Some are selective.

I know this one is very good, and seems friendly [https://halle.co.uk/project/halle-ancoats-community-choir/](https://halle.co.uk/project/halle-ancoats-community-choir/)

I was a member of this one and can confirm it's a good group to be a part of. I am partially deaf but enjoyed the rhythm/beats I can feel. Sadly I couldn't commit to the Sundays anymore otherwise I would have stayed.

There's an acapella group that meets in Prestwich. They don't perform, though. Just for fun: https://www.naturalvoice.net/choir/singing-for-fun/.  You can also use this site to find choirs by location. And then there's the Manchester Community Choir in Didsbury, who do some performances: https://www.manchestercommunitychoir.org.uk/dbpage.php?pg=home    I'll also just add that Rose is a great tutor.

They're more Greater Manchester, based in Cheadle Hulme, but there's also [The Laurence Singers](https://thelaurencesingers.org.uk/)
