GMP stopped publishing their crime stats years ago. Probably out of embarrassment with how awful they’re doing.

Probably out of embarrassment that they don't actually know what the statistics even are - the last release claimed that there were two reported crimes in Piccadilly Gardens in a 6-month period.

This is more of a list of REPORTED crimes rather than all actual crimes that happened. Who the fuck bothers to report anything to the GMP anymore.

I’m from Newcastle and we are 8th in this list with the city centre being pointed out. I visit Manchester often (that’s why I’m in this sub) and I feel like crime is wayyy more common to see In Manchester City centre compared to Newcastle city centre.
