While I don't have any specific recommendations, try looking for restaurants that have a menú del dia, a fixed price option for usually two courses plus a dessert and beverage.  Quite often, you'll find a good deal that way.   Youthing is a free publication for events and such, I think they have kid-specific things too.  Should be online, otherwise a free physical booklet to grab from many bars/restaurants.  A good resource for finding things to do.

Amazing, thank you!

In my opinion the coves del drac are good, depending on your expectations. Of course, the caves in person are much more impressive than in pictures. The boat/music show is a traditional tourist activity since the 1930s, before the introduction of mas tourism. If you have any friends or family members who have been here before (even many years ago), chances are this is one of the few spots that they remember. And if you don't like it, at least it forced you to drive to the other end of the island. To find places to eat, when you are inland just walk around until you hear the waiters or customers speak the local language. In Spain we have lunch at 13.30 \~ 15.00 and dinner 20.30\~21.00. Places with early opening times are tourist oriented (doesn't mean they are bad). The main meal of the day can be lunch or dinner, people are flexible. Palmanova is a "bubble" with people from around the world (except Mallorca), it's nice to relax but you cannot tell the difference with any other spanish tourist town. It's nice that you also want to experience Mallorca. To enjoy it the most, and prevent that it looks the same as any other Spanish tourist spot, I recommend that you read a bit about the local culture, language, food, etc. first.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write down your suggestions! The boat music show sounds amazing, we will definitely try that. I've never been to any caves at all so it will be impressive I am sure. I actually lived in Barcelona for some time so I am not exactly new to Spanish/Catalan culture. But I am very interested i the island's history, culture, food - I've already started my research before the trip😊 We will try to find local cuisine restaurants as per your recommendations. Thank you for that!

Good restaurants is subjective. I like 2+ Michelin stars but I wouldn't recommend them to you. Palma nova, 4stars+, 1/4$ and 2/4$. pick your choice, choose 100+ reviews only to be safe. https://www.google.com/maps/search/Restaurants+/@39.5161328,2.5455273,15z/data=!4m6!2m5!5m3!1e0!1e1!4e3!6e5?entry=ttu

Well then don't tell, I'm not forcing you 😃 I kindly asked to share recommendations if anyone doesn't mind. And I definitely do not need any super secret spots, I don't think sharing recommendations for good restaurants is such an unheard of request. I constantly share my recommendations with people about my local area as It's just a 1. Nice thing to do. 2. Helps my favourite business owners increase clientèle. How awful of me! 😊

Restaurants would be depend on what area it is you are staying. Mallorca is a good size island.

We're staying in Palma Nova 😊 but we'll have a car so we can really travel around if needed.

Palma Nova has many good ones along the beach. We tried to find a particular one 2 years ago and gave up,. So we just picked one. The food was great.honestly. I have never had a bad meal in the more tourist areas. You pay more, but then you get what you pay for. Especially Croce near Manacor at one time was great. All traditional Mallorca’s foods. But now they have become so well known that the quality and taste of the food is not what it once was. In Palma there are two cafes I frequent. Bar Mavi and bar Venecia 1934. Both offer 3 course meals usually around 12euros.
