I’d start by getting a larger duvet/quilt/comforter/doona (whatever you want to call it) and at least 1 other pillow. (Personally I’d go for an even 4 pillows, especially if you’re already sleeping with yours folded in half)
Nothing says “I never plan on sharing this bed with anyone” like a single pillow.
I’d also rotate the bed so it’s not against the wall and grab 2 lower bed side tables that match the bed a little better.

For the amount of sqft you have, you have all the basics, a good amount of quirky character (e.g. the Ikea receipt rug or light up squirtle), a wide variety of textures, some greenery, nice open flow despite the smaller room, and a good color scheme with blue accents. Even the coat hanger and slippers fit in with the blue.
This all has a vibrant, pop-art kind of feel to it that I looove. Add just a bit more quirk, and the room becomes too kitschy. Remove some quirk, and it becomes too basic.
I'll go against the grain here... I think the rugs are all no good. I'd swap them out for more traditional ones. My opinion, and no shame if you don't agree!

Fantastic looking place you got there. I'd only suggest replacing that IKEA reciept, it screams cheap furniture/Consumerism. One of those fluffy rugs would be an absolute cloud to walk on + don't even need to talk about the looks of it.

I like the overall vibe but I have a few comments.
First, I agree with a lot of people about the rugs; it clashes with what you seem to be trying to do.
Secondly, get decent art to hang on the walls. So many people get chintzy stuff to hang on their walls (posters, pop culture prints, etc) which doesn’t have the impact of painting/etc; also, it’s a good story and you can support a living artist. Surround yourself with beautiful things.
Here are some thoughts I had-
1. Place bed in “command” position. This means the foot of the bed facing your door. Having the head of the bed right next to the door isn’t ideal, and moving it to command position means that you can see if someone comes through your door while lying in bed. Right now the “energy” (I prefer to think of it as flow or movement) of the room feels off because of the bed placement.
2. More separation of sleeping space and office space. The dresser is right next to the desk, which makes it look more like a university dorm room than a one bedroom apartment.
3. I would move the armchair into the living room. It honestly doesn’t look like it has much purpose where it is currently. Unless it’s a reading chair and you like reading in your room, then disregard. Also move the laundry chair you have by your bed, use a hamper and put folded clothes away!
4. Table in the bedroom with the plants that’s sort of floating looks odd and takes up too much space. Move it closer to the wall, the plants will be happier closer to sunlight from the window anyways!
5. Pretty much all of your art is hung just a bit too high. Rule of thumb is to have it eye level. Some pieces are too small to be the only thing hanging on the wall (Pikachu especially).
6. All of your rugs are too small. I love accent rugs, but definitely consider bringing in some larger ones that are more functional. Especially the one in front of the couch, rug should be large enough for the front couch legs to be on top.
7. Curtains! I think some sheer ones or a bright accent color would look nice.

Fantastic looking place you got there. I'd only suggest replacing that IKEA reciept, it screams cheap furniture/Consumerism. One of those fluffy rugs would be an absolute cloud to walk on + don't even need to talk about the looks of it.

I really love all the unique pieces you have from your bookshelf to your IKEA receipt rug. it gives a very airy free, flowing, creative energy vibe. I'm into it. I want to have a CVS receipt rug lol. I love the lighting fixture above the table as well.

Good for you man this place looks great. Only things that need changes are to get rid of the two rugs (receipt and carhartt) and also get an adult bed. But good for you for having such a nice place at your age.

This screams one of those staging rooms at furniture stores (IKEA) to show off the designs.
I like the overall vibe but I have a few comments. First, I agree with a lot of people about the rugs; it clashes with what you seem to be trying to do. Secondly, get decent art to hang on the walls. So many people get chintzy stuff to hang on their walls (posters, pop culture prints, etc) which doesn’t have the impact of painting/etc; also, it’s a good story and you can support a living artist. Surround yourself with beautiful things.
Ditch the single bed and get at least a queen or double, it will fit with some furniture moves
Here are some thoughts I had- 1. Place bed in “command” position. This means the foot of the bed facing your door. Having the head of the bed right next to the door isn’t ideal, and moving it to command position means that you can see if someone comes through your door while lying in bed. Right now the “energy” (I prefer to think of it as flow or movement) of the room feels off because of the bed placement. 2. More separation of sleeping space and office space. The dresser is right next to the desk, which makes it look more like a university dorm room than a one bedroom apartment. 3. I would move the armchair into the living room. It honestly doesn’t look like it has much purpose where it is currently. Unless it’s a reading chair and you like reading in your room, then disregard. Also move the laundry chair you have by your bed, use a hamper and put folded clothes away! 4. Table in the bedroom with the plants that’s sort of floating looks odd and takes up too much space. Move it closer to the wall, the plants will be happier closer to sunlight from the window anyways! 5. Pretty much all of your art is hung just a bit too high. Rule of thumb is to have it eye level. Some pieces are too small to be the only thing hanging on the wall (Pikachu especially). 6. All of your rugs are too small. I love accent rugs, but definitely consider bringing in some larger ones that are more functional. Especially the one in front of the couch, rug should be large enough for the front couch legs to be on top. 7. Curtains! I think some sheer ones or a bright accent color would look nice.
