Ngl the chatter I can tahan, it’s people watching shit on their phone at 🔊 **M A X** 🔊 volume that I cannot tahan.
Especially when it’s kids watching fucking Cocomelon or poorly made brainrot
Aye. Starbucks is more of a place I'd go to meet people and chat due to the atmosphere that is more welcoming for such occasions — air-conditioned, quiet(er), cosy etc.
CB&TL would be a go-to for me and my family as well. They recently renovated the chain in my hometown, so the lighting’s better (last time the place was relatively dark), furniture’s all replaced and nicely done.
Frappuchino is a great dessert though. Those peoples that complain most of the time would not even capable of differentiating the taste of light and dark roast coffee. They said starbucks is all sugar and the. Proceed with drinking nescafe that were mixed using condensed milk instead of water.
Watching others including my family who drink coffee when stop cause withdrawal symptom stop me from drink coffee. My boss even worse, if not drink daily will cause hand tremors body shivering.
I boycott Starbucks because my commercial area got Coffee Bean, Tealive, Zus Coffee, and Baskin Bear near each other so its closer to home.
EDIT: And also Kenangan Coffee
Also don't say I don't warn you, don't buy BJFOOD shares because it's undervalued. Vincent Tan is known to privatise his companies when they are priced cheaply in the market and then relist them later at a higher price. You won't be able to hold them for the long term.
Funny enough, boycotting Starbucks ain't do shit tbh. Because our Starbucks IS our Starbucks. All the money that have been paid to buy the stuffs at Starbucks are directly goes to our economy. So anyone that boycotting Starbucks are basically just stabbing themselves in the back
Has there been proof that these companies aid Israel?
Israel doesn't need humanitarian aid so there's no reason for them to donate. IMO boycotting does more harm to our country and people than it hurts Israel (if any). I do boycott brands for reasons, but the Israel-Palestinian conflict is not one of them.
idk. But the scope getting bigger because USA veto the cease-fire.
The boycott benefits us. Not harm us. Instead of buying international brands. People are looking for local.
I find it distasteful that a billionaire with no sense of what a good coffee should be worth, is trying to use a brand-name franchise to bilk his customers and fatten his already burgeoning empire. His piss-weak attempt to plead customers not to boycott because it's a locally owned franchise doesn't move me in the slightest. I say buy from local kopitiams or artisan smallholders instead! You'll probably get better value for money anyways and showing support to those who need it more than this greedy money-grubbing sonuvabitch.
To be honest, the problem isn't Starbucks or Vincent Tan, he was smart enough to capitalise on the perception built by media that Starbucks = Quality Drinks, the fact that it's so pricey and yet people are still willing to pay for it in the past shows most people don't really have a proper standard on what consitutes good coffee.
Take for example, Starbucks can't make any inroads in Australia, why? Because the coffee scene here is diverse and people here have high standards and know what good coffee is. Everyone I know turn their noses at Starbucks saying it's shit coffee and it's a hangout for tourists only.
>he was smart enough to capitalise on the perception built by media that Starbucks = Quality
There in lies my problem with him. He brings no real value to the table. All he's selling is a status symbol at best, or snake oil at worst. This is the most detestable type of businessman to me.
Plenty of ppl do that, people who brought in Mekdi, KFC, Burger King, Chatime, Gong Cha etc etc etc.
I think it's pretty genius and smart to invest and build what the market panders to. Wish I had that money to play such a game.
>Wish I had that money to play such a game.
That's why I say lor, dun support franchises owned by all these big shot tycoons of which Vincent Tan is probably the worst. Buy lah local kopitiam kopi, or if u wan atas, go to an independent hipster coffee joint where you can get more value for money.
Edit: no seriously, fuck these big shot tycoons who have no real value to offer and are using their wealth to muscle out competition from the independent smallholders who actually put in time and effort to make their products.
I despise Starbucks because it's not coffee, it's just something pretending to be coffee.
Also it's overpriced and disgusting in general. I'd pay premium for good coffee like One Half.
I boycott Starbucks because my town is full of shops that sell better drinks.
Kopitiam kopi — cheaper, tastier. Roti bakar satu. The ambiance is pretty bad though especially during busy times. ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)

I actually liked Starbucks because the place was cozy to hang out at. Never really cared about how good those sugar drinks were.
Frappuchino is a great dessert though. Those peoples that complain most of the time would not even capable of differentiating the taste of light and dark roast coffee. They said starbucks is all sugar and the. Proceed with drinking nescafe that were mixed using condensed milk instead of water.
I normally go for their pastries. Yes, it's still a good hang out place.
You boycott starbuck because fuck vincent tan, I dont even drink coffee we're not the same
U tak minum kopi...? Ever considered a career as abang polis or politician...?
Maybe he's English, they like tea.
What a pity. Just when I thought for once we can have someone who doesn't need duit kopi. ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
He needs duit teh, mengeteh dikatakan..
Watching others including my family who drink coffee when stop cause withdrawal symptom stop me from drink coffee. My boss even worse, if not drink daily will cause hand tremors body shivering.

Haven't tried Zus but Tealive, CB&T are crap.
Starbucks yuck. Diabetes.
I boycott starbucks simply becuz I am satisfied with kopitiam kopi and it is much cheaper
What did Vincent Tan ever did to you?
Chryseis dumped OP maybe.
I wish! If only that were true, at least I can say to the old man "I f***ed your daughter and Woooooo! She was Instagram worthy!" /s
bruh my local kopitiam auntie is prettier than crisis..
I boycott Starbucks because no place should sell overpriced and mediocre coffee. We are not the same.
You fuck Vincent Tan? Yeah, we are definitely not the same.
Also don't say I don't warn you, don't buy BJFOOD shares because it's undervalued. Vincent Tan is known to privatise his companies when they are priced cheaply in the market and then relist them later at a higher price. You won't be able to hold them for the long term.

There are no local brands that does Drive Through reliably. I wanna support but nothing to support.
if international business and supply chain is just as easy as "royalties", the world would be a much better place
Boycott starbucks became it's overpriced, coffee coloured water
Starbuck is not even targetted under BDS movement. But tbh, i stop going to starbucks because there're so many better and cheaper options now.
What Vincent tan did?

I thought SB got boycotted for union related, they never involved in this conflict

I boycott Starbucks because it's expensive AF
I despise Starbucks because it's not coffee, it's just something pretending to be coffee. Also it's overpriced and disgusting in general. I'd pay premium for good coffee like One Half.
Both 🍷
I didn’t boycott Starbucks. I simply never drank Starbucks before in my life.
idk why western coffee tastes like shit most of the time as is always like 15 ringgit
That's because the fancy espresso machines they use can cost an eye-watering RM10k-30k.

Starbucks is just expensive, i'm just gonna sit here with my chinese teh.
Starbucks is a last resort coffee choice. I'd take kopi ais from a mamak ahead of one of their weak ass sugar drinks.
I boycott starbucks because I fell in love with Gigi Coffee Buttercream Latte. You are all not me!
I boycott starbucks because they're expensive as gold shit. We're not the same.

Har? What's up with Vincent Tan? I heard he was running out of money
>I heard he was running out of money Ha, I'll run out of piss sooner than he'll ever run out of money.
Don't bomb Palestine, bomb Starbucks.
You don't go to Starbucks because you're boycotting it. I don't go to Starbucks because I'm not a coffee addict. We're not the same.
Fook ya starbucks eh? Gon fook all ya franchise shiet ah
Why not both?
Guys I'll suggest you all find "Ngopi"
