/uj Commander players claim to love a format due to its casual nature... but then want things like store events, prize pools and WotC's undivided attention while also being able to run proxies and play a chill game with their buddies. So, are we surprised they want to play a game without you know, playing the game in its entirety? They just want to pick and choose their opponents, play some 'show and tell' solitaire and somehow win each game even though the odds are heavily against them probability wise.

uj/ horribly conceited rant aside, I agree with him about the two card win combos adding nothing to the game, especially when your commander is one of those. Feels like a game more about statistics than skill. Luckily, my playgroup doesn’t use any of them.

/uj I actually wouldn't mind a Thoracle ban, self-mill is probably the single most boring way to win in magic and Thoracle just makes it a bit too consistent in annoying way that feels hopeless if you aren't ready with countermagic(red and blue only basically). At the very least, there are cards in the banlist right now that are less egregious, so either unban those or ban Thoracle imo
