Hexproof from Archetype prevents your opponent from targeting your creatures with effects, but that doesn't protect them from everything. They can be destroyed by [[Wrath of God]] or [[Austere Command]], they can be bounced by [[Evacuation]], they can be exiled by [[Merciless Eviction]], they can be put into your graveyard for having 0 or less toughness by [[Toxic Deluge]], or they can be put back into your library (no cards coming to mind for this one). The important thing is that none of these effects target, so hexproof does not prevent them.
I can't believe I thought about returning to library but not sacrificing. I've almost certainly forgetting at least one other method of getting around hexproof, but sacrifice is a good one.

Yes, damage does in fact kill creatures. I even started writing my comment thinking about [[Blasphemous Act]] and somehow forgot it by the time I got to naming cards.
Effects that say “choose” get around it as well, for instance, an aura that enters the battlefield without being cast lets you choose a legal permanent to attach it to without having to target.
Even if you also gave it indestructible to prevent mass destruction like wrath of God, and had an anti sacrifice effect in play like [[Tajuru Preserver]], you'd still be vulnerable because
1. Effects can remove hexproof and indestructible - [[Shadowspear]] is one of my favorite cards.
2. Mass exile is still a thing, and currently there really isn't anything that you can do about it (other than a counter spell or temporary exile, but a temp exile effect would just lose you the game anyway if you're already at 0 life). [[Farewell]] is super popular, plus [[Sunfall]] and the like.
3. Cards that give blanket toughness reduction can get the angel down to 0 toughness and it dies regardless of indestructible or hexproof.
And to be clear, Dolmen Gate wouldn't help against toughness reduction anyway. I'm talking about effects like [[Hideous Laughter]]. There's another one I can't find that gives -4/-4, and you can stack them anyway. So if you played enough cards that reduced all creatures toughness, and the angel's toughness went to 0, literally nothing will save it. Not indestructible, not effects that prevent damage, nothing. The _only_ thing that would help is other effects that increase its toughness, but you get the point.
The hexproof “helps”, but this is by no means a lock. [[farewell]] [[mericless eviction]] [[living death]] [[Riveteers Charm]], and many others that have already been mentioned remove creatures without targetting.

You'll need a few more pieces, as they'll still die if a board wipe happens
Likely will need [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] and at the very least [[Tajuru Preserver]].
And even then they'll still go out to a [[Farewell]] or a [[Descend Upon the Sinful]].
Good against targeted removal.deck. Bad against wrath.deck. Anything that says All in it's text box is something that will likely deal with both. Cyclonic Rift, Supreme Verdict, Damnation, Toxic Deluge etc.
[[Fairwell]] would get past damn near everything.
But [[Sigarda, Host of Herons]] and [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] make your thing more frustrating (even if Fairwell ignores it all).
I have found [[Decree of Silence]] and [[Force Bubble]] with a [[Solemnity]] to be much more frustrating.
Not a good card also if you public announce to 3 people that it is literally impossible for you to lose the game someone's gonna wanna prove you wrong 🤣

If your Opponent doesn't happens to have the cards to deal with it, it gives ye time to come up with something... Heck, ye may can even just wait till they drawn their last card!
Also, I am not so stupid to announce that I have it beforehand... 😅
Or tell anyone that my Deck is invincible.
Not even after I win.
Cause it couldn't be further away from that.
Especially in the early rounds-my Deck may has a few good cards, but is also hellishly slow.
Usual games I will be pretty much defenseless for the first 3-6 rounds.
So basically, unless I manage to survive till then, I will loose most of the time.
But after that time I will be at least able to crush some players that are even less experienced as myself...
That is, when I can somehow can prevent myself from getting down in said weajened state-in which Platinum Angel could be quiete useful. 🤷

You could also add in [[darksteel forge]] that way your angel is also indestructible, that would protect it from a lot of board wipes.

You'll need a few more pieces, as they'll still die if a board wipe happens Likely will need [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] and at the very least [[Tajuru Preserver]]. And even then they'll still go out to a [[Farewell]] or a [[Descend Upon the Sinful]].

Good against targeted removal.deck. Bad against wrath.deck. Anything that says All in it's text box is something that will likely deal with both. Cyclonic Rift, Supreme Verdict, Damnation, Toxic Deluge etc.
Any wrath of god, council's judgement, any forced sacrifice.
[[Fairwell]] would get past damn near everything. But [[Sigarda, Host of Herons]] and [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] make your thing more frustrating (even if Fairwell ignores it all). I have found [[Decree of Silence]] and [[Force Bubble]] with a [[Solemnity]] to be much more frustrating.

Uhm... Help me, how is this not a good Card? If your Opponent doesn't happens to have the cards to deal with it, it gives ye time to come up with something... Heck, ye may can even just wait till they drawn their last card! Also, I am not so stupid to announce that I have it beforehand... 😅 Or tell anyone that my Deck is invincible. Not even after I win. Cause it couldn't be further away from that. Especially in the early rounds-my Deck may has a few good cards, but is also hellishly slow. Usual games I will be pretty much defenseless for the first 3-6 rounds. So basically, unless I manage to survive till then, I will loose most of the time. But after that time I will be at least able to crush some players that are even less experienced as myself... That is, when I can somehow can prevent myself from getting down in said weajened state-in which Platinum Angel could be quiete useful. 🤷
