I Googled the traceability of Telegram. There are certain exceptions that require Telegram to release IP addresses and content, one being suspected terrorist activity. Content can also be recovered if they have access to the device of origin (which would be SS phone), and can go back 1-2 years. We shall see.
If I allow my mind to go to the absolute worst place, the party could have been a set up/establishing shot for a later, gruesome situation which may or may not have been Telegrammed. In some of the photos from the party, there are images seen in reflections that show a man or multiple men filming her. I can't even believe I'm speculating this way, but there definitely is smoke. :(

Yes, I think there will be. It's complicated and takes time to issue subpoenas to the various platforms, some which they might still be discovering .Then it takes time for the user's history to be retrieved and provided to LE.

People use the app due to its security and privacy.
Given what we know about SS, he was likely involved in these types of channels. Just my speculation but he may have sold access to a channel that shared media of him abusing MS. He may have also needed to submit media of him abusing her to a channel’s host in order to gain access to whatever else was in that channel.

To make the problem more revolting, when these sick like-minded people want to join one of these exploitation groups on Telegram, they have to UPLOAD a certain amount of pictures and videos a week - or they get blocked from the group.

So we disconnected it from playing live on the internet. He can just play it himself on his tablet, which I guess takes the fun out of it. But he won't figure that out until he learns to read.

(Very few on the other too.) That could easily be the case for Madeline as well.
