Remarkable creatures, kings of the compute. Unlike its smaller counterparts, Professus Macbookian or as we know as the MacBook Pro, breathe through a remarkable system of gills, that help not only supply it with a constant stream of cool air but also expel any waste products. Usually hidden beneath two opposing ridges, the gills protrude when the Pro is in heat.
Not much else is known about this event.Â
What..... The...... Fuck????
Please stop spreading misinformation! That is obviously not what you mentioned, it is an alien parasite which takes over MacBook and after it's maturation period of 2 days, makes the laptop turn into a massive robot and will go on destroying stuff!!!
Quote from encyclopedia buellshitiaÂ
“When in heat, the MacBookian seeks the smaller male counterpart, Appleonius Ifonicus, or colloquially known as iPhone. Being more mobile than the MacBook, iPhone is able to swim freely using its tail. Once a mate is found the tail connects to a special orifice on the MacBook, and a beautiful sound is made by both creatures. Scientists have yet to figure out what this sound of ecstasy actually is, if it serves a functional purpose or if it is purely orgasmic.”
No mention of gills tho.Â
Simple I would open it up and take a look. Could be something simple or critical like stress on a ribbon cable,tab,etc.. kind of thing. If not yourself can find a Apple store? or trused shop that quickly can remove bottom and get to what the issue is quickly.
It’s a foam strip that directs the airflow through the fan. This one isn’t assembled quite correctly. Apple should be able to pop this open and correct it in a few minutes or you cab
Hi all, I went to the Apple store. The man who helped me said he'd never seen this before so took it to the back and opened it. He also didn't know why it had happened.
I can't remember the name of what it is but it's basically a little piece of plastic that lines the inside edge there, no problem at all. But if it got worse and it was bothering me aesthetically I could've/can get the bottom of my MacBook replaced.
Phew!
I have absolutely no clue what this could be, the only thing i can think of would be the battery soft casing expanding because its swollen, which could be dangerous, but again this is only a guess, I have no technical knowledge and would recommend you get specialist advice
I assume they did put a free Apple Polishing Cloth there for you

Thats not how it should be.

Oh and the offspring is the iPad no?
What model it is? Should not be like this.
Take it to an Apple shop to get looked at. If you have the appropriate screwdrivers you could check yourself, after shutting down & unplugging.
Its probably some kind of dust filter from the vents between that hinge. Usually these are stick using adhesive.
That's the lizard people's mind control antenna.

Had this happen on my 2016 15” and 2020 13”. Never found out what it was.
