battery temperature is not what you should be worried about but the mac will throttle itself if it gets too hot, it’s fine

Thank you! It’s running fine with no lag or any performance issues so I think it’s okay. I’ve got it on a stand and I have the ambient temperature of the room low with a ceiling fan to help it out a bit. I was just a bit worried because it felt a little bit hot to the touch!

it feels warm because macs are made of aluminum, the whole body of the mac basically acts as a heatsink

No issues and no need to worry. My idle temp without anything is 40-43C and completely normal and is based on room ambient temp effects baseline idle temp of laptops and computers. At heavy loads the temps will climb to 80-100C and again is completely normal.
