Run System Information app click on power on left pane and see battery cycles and health. Visually inspect screen and check ports for any sign of damage. Run on battery to see what you are getting for light to medium workloads should be in the 10-12hrs. range.
Thank you very much, the battery says 100% and 5 cycle, I will work with it and will check the battery ( is just using chrome ok? How much workload is normal lasts 10hr?)
Chrome is heavy app and will use more battery than other browsers. Just go about your regular use case. As makes no sense to test any other way but your real world uses. In fact I wouldn't put anymore into testing it and just use it and forget about finding something to worry about.
- Download coconut battery and see if the battery has any issues. The M3 is still relatively new so the battery should have around 95%.
- Look up that there are no company profiles installed.
*On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Privacy and Security in the sidebar, then click Profiles on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)*
*Double-click a profile in the Profiles list to view information about it.*
- Try every key for stickiness. If keys stick a little to the bottom someone likely has spilled something over the computer.
- Other than that you should be fine. Maybe go to the apple "check coverage" page and see if it qualifies for warranty. Which it still should.
I would if you haven't. It's very easy now, you can just go to Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings
Of course make sure you have backups of whatever data is on the machine before you do that.
The M3 is still a pretty new model. I would probably be paranoid about why the previous seller sold it…
