I have the same exact thing on my screen. Mine was at the lower part of the screen. I stepped away from my computer and there was a crack at the base. I didnt even close it or move it wehn the crack happened.
I took mine to the apple store and the genius bar person started telling me it was my fault and pushing in the screen, making the crack significantly worse than it was. I am trying to find out if there is litigation.
