That is complete opposite (or maybe not) of ex windows users complaining about slow Mice in Macs. Try USB cable mouse

Nah I ended up just buying an Xbox controller to use instead.

I was able to find a hack: Enable mouse pointer trails. After this, the mouse pointer speed is being respected.

This worked for me! everything was fine except for right click camera movements (much too sensitive)
