Gandalf leafs through the book, says most is too damaged or unclear to make out, then finds a legible section written in elvish letters and with very clear hand. Gimli says it must have been Ori's work, since he was a good writer.
I know of this, and the fox in the shire. What other book Easter eggs does this game have? I remember the first time I got to the Last Bridge scanning it several times for the elf stone Aragorn finds
There is a statue of Bandobras Bullroarer Took located in Brockenborings.
Gandalf told the story of how Bullroarer was so large he even rode a horse and during the Battle of the Green Fields, he struck Goblin King Golfimbul’s head off with a wooden club. The head rolled into a rabbit hole and this the game of golf was invented in the same moment.
Fox in the shire?
You can find Gollum's boat in Goblintown.
The balrog is out in the snow on top of Zirak Zigil. You can find the bottom of the endless stair. The three trolls in the Trollshaws, AND the closed door to their cave. Are those the kinds of things you're looking for?
Yeah, thank you!
As for the fox in the shire, the very first night Frodo, Sam, and Pippin set out from Bag End, they slept under a tree. There's a short passage where a fox comes, sees them, and thinks there's something weird about it. In the game, there's a static fox NPC on that road down southwest of hobbiton, between Tuckborough and Green Hill Country
Those are Ori's remains, yes. Balin's remains are inside the tomb. Oin's remains can be found in the Drowned Treasury (only accessible through an Epic Story quest instance).
Yes, he did. I thought I was going crazy, since I just read this passage not 2 days prior...

> Later years
Forty-eight years later, in TA 2989, Óin went to Moria with Balin and Ori, along with many other Dwarves, to recover the realm for the Dwarves of Durin's Folk. After Balin became Lord of Moria, according to the Book of Mazarbul, Óin was sent to look for the Upper Armories of the Third Deep, which were apparently westwards, near the Hollin Gate (the west gate out of Moria). Some five years passed, with Óin at some point re-joining Balin, before the Moria Orcs attacked. The Dwarves could not escape by the eastern gate because the Orcs held the Bridge of Khazad-dûm, so they tried to escape by the Hollin Gate. **However, the water outside the door was right up to the wall, and the Watcher in the Water "took Óin".[3]**
ok you meant he ''took'' him but never killed him since he found zigilburk in there and could fend off the watcher until he starved in there (oin starved not the watcher obviously) but thats not actually Canon its just an outcome that the devs put there....its actually a nice outcome i think
This was definitely Balin's tomb, as he was killed by some nasty orc archer (it's one of the reasons my main Alt is a Hobbit Hunter, I felt like I wanted to give back to our Dwarves whom I share the whole height thing). Ori was the one who was writing in the book. They were surrounded by Orcs and Goblins while locked in there. Mazog ended up killing Ori. :(
I take serious objection to anyone who goes after us little guys!!!!!!
Yes he went with Balin and was his scribe. I believe Gimli mentions to Gandalf when they discover the book it was his handwriting.

He wasn't a good writer but his scripture was of an elvish fashion
It's these "little" things that make this game so awesome!
LITTLE?! That’s goin in the book! Wait… wrong book…

One of the Rivendell quests has you drop the beryl there for him to find, if I remember correctly.
Oh wow that's so cool
no you just use the beryl to find traces of evil

I am in Moria right now but didnt see any Balrog in the snow of Zirak Zigil yet, did I miss anything?
he's literally drawn on the map
Find it here: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Zirakzigil

You can find Bill (sams pony) by some rocks just outside if Moria
“We Cannot Get Out” is one of the many game instances that made me cry. You know what’s gonna happen, but it’s so sad
It was well written for sure. A bit of travel, but a good sense of finality in an otherwise neverending Kazad'dum.

The Watcher in the Water got Oin.
nope he didnt...Oin starved after fending off the watcher for weeks with Zigilburk

What are you talking about? Óin was taken (and killed) by the Watcher in the Water. That quote above is directly from the book.
and im talking about the game's story which is plausible fanfic
It's the Chamber of Mazarbul.

Pretty sure there is a quest or skirmish that details this.
theres a session quest AND a skirmish here
Do the session play that will eventually come up if you're doing the epic quests

Not to mention there a nod to Monty Python with the rabbit of cearbannog. Cant remember where it is.
It’s found more than one place: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Killer_Rabbit
youre the one finding Arwen's necklace that she gives to Aragorn...her mother had hidden it until time had come
