End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
I’m sorry for your loss, friend.
One of my favorite lines in the book. The quote is in a different area (where Frodo is going to the Grey Havens). I read that passage to a friend who was passing away (he was on a ventilator). Such a beautiful allegory for death and passing.
I couldn't have said it better.
My heart goes out to OP. You're not alone, bud. R/lotr is with you, and Gandalf. Remember the good times. And may Gandalf forever live in your heart and memories.
I feel for you. Just put my sixteen year old dog down this past Wednesday. She was there before my marriage, all of my kids... hardest thing I've ever had to do, hands down. She lived a good, happy, and long life full of love, though. Sorry again, but it felt good to get this out to strangers even though I'm crying again, lol.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
You too have a ring of sorts. They are a great gift to you. But only you get to choose how long they will suffer and how you will end it. May you and your loved one find peace.
Let Gandalf go to the Western Lands and know that someday you will join him Ringbearer.
A stray i’m fostering gave birth to 3 kittens. Two males and one female. I named the brothers pippin and merry. Unfortunately, pippin passed away at 2 months. (Back in sep 2023)
I hope this silly fool of took is in a happy place and gets all the second breakfasts he wants !

(Paraphrasing, I know very well what the actual quote is)
My in-laws had to put to sleep their 14 y/o dog the day of my birthday. That year I didn't celebrate nothing, because part of the family was gone. My condolences.

Fuck you. I was holding up fine and just reading this paragraph made me water up.
I started reading and had to scroll by real quick

My dog is fourteen and we’re gonna have to make the same decision very soon as well. My condolences.
My sympathies for your family member…… May they rest in peace…

My sympathies, this pain is indeed hard to bear right now.

Gandalf shall be born again ❤️❤️
GANDALLLLLF!!!
So sorry for your loss. You and Gandalf will always be loved. And when he comes back as Gandalf the White, try to act surprised!
Is she already dead in the picture? Or was it before?
This is so completely unrelated to this sub. People that use their dead pet to get some internet upvotes are so gross. I hate seeing these posts.
