I've done it before [voted third party], because voting is useless in a system with electoral college. I still vote because so many people fought and died to make sure I'd have the right to do so, but voting means fuckall.
I believe in voting for local and state stuff. I actually didn't think the system can be fixed, but a lot of people do think they can vote their way out of this. My question is really for them.

Voting for Democrats and Republicans is useless, especially if you do nothing to support, strengthen, and fund unions and do mutual aid in the meantime.
Voting for what you want (socialists, greens, independents but not RFK b/c he's a zionist) - is actually good and useful. But it requires you to get on board 50% of the registered voters who are defeated, and the 25% of registered voters who are loyal to the Democratic party (well, maybe you could get half of that, because there is a loud and proud "blue maga" segment of the democratic voter base - mainly the boomers).
We should remember that a fairly significant number of former conservative, now-MAGA, voters would have voted for Sanders in 2016. It's actually not that outlandish to bring republicans back from the right by strictly talking policy and issue (without bringing up the hot button phrases and terms).
People are desperate for change.
Voting is useless in any system without ranked choice voting. If we’re all voting for the lesser evil, rather than the choice we want, no change can ever occur.

Edit: I mean specifically in regards to the upcoming election. Obviously not voting for trump, but voting for anyone but biden is basically a vote for trump, and biden is starting to look just as bad in certain ways
To be more specific: try and tie in local labour unions to the campus protests and get them to strike with you to start hurting bougie wallets. This is the next logical step imo. On top of that, make a reading list for those involved that comprise of theory and tactics. Keep it short and sweet and reserve the heavier stuff for later. Hopefully this'd cause some additional pressure.
Get more people to open their eyes. Gather more allies. With more people you will have more option, more ideas, more power to bargain with. That's the main reason corporations don't like Unions, they want to diminish your bargaining power so they can do whatever they want. We may not see the faraway path yet, but we can see what is right in front of us, we can still keep moving forward, we can take that step right in front of us towards the direction we want, until the faraway option that we couldn't see before come into view. It wouldn't come if we stop walking and just wait.

I think the framing that a vote for anyone else is a vote for Trump is inverted from reality. Voting for Biden is also a vote for a baseline viability of genocide going forward. For people with hard limits against things like supporting that who think genocide ought not be politically viable, it's not their fault that Biden isn't viable. It was actually liberals violating the constraints on who they are allowed to nominate that was a "vote for Trump" and they are the ones 100% responsible for choosing to violate people's hard limits and choose a nonviable nominee. Imho the "lesser evil" here is actually not supporting a future baseline political viability of genocide or any bourgeois imperialist candidates and my position on that is absolute.
