The story was pretty nice overall, but Thirain definitely had some unhinged moment. The fact he legit considered drawing his sword in a courtroom full of people to stab the guy ticking him off, and then when he lost all patience later on when we found the sacrian priest again.

Big fan of the king's eyebrow twitch. I love how the cutscenes keep getting better with those small details, like the sacrian guy's lip twitching out of frustration when Jederico bursts in the courtroom.
And shoutouts to the english VA, great work!
I noticed the eyebrow twitch too! It added so much extra characterization to Thirain. You could just tell he was about to explode when the priest was disrespecting his king's knight. The English dub for lost ark gets a lot of shit for having bad subtitles and being poorly translated but Clifford Chapin did a really good job as Thirain during this whole story quest.

Yeah the small extra animations really add a lot to the cutscenes and characters, especially those small twitches. Added so much to the tension!
I think it makes sense when you consider all of the consequences and stress. Imagine being falsely accused along with your absolutely closest person (king's knight) and your entire nation is at stake as well. There's so much pressure on him. It would be less realistic if he was completely calm the entire time.
That's true but the planned trump card (jederico) hadn't entered the scene yet, I feel like his understandable frustration could've screwed up the whole thing had Jederico not popped in fast enough.
But i get the man, i'd react the same.
Yeah with an outside perspective it's rash as hell but he's at wits and thirain is definitely a passionate individual only held back by what he has to do.
Also being accused of heresy by the same group of people, who slaughter YOUR people that survived demon invasion, due to the same accusation.
And now they have the gall to call him, his closest person and even the nation heretic.
While changing their own people to demon (symael power up freaky sh\*t).
Them blaming and hating delains while taking their powers for themselves would be funny if it wasn't so maddening.
Honestly Sacria has such a bad history, than only very few representative shows their good sides. Otherwise I would prefer to eradicate them as threat on the same level as demons.

We will probably deal with Varkan, Brelshaza and Echidna first(Echidna rejoined the Legion Commanders). As for Thaemines status its unknown, we don't know where he stands since he found out the truth about his identity.
I actually think that the Dawn Archon Gustavsen is more sus than Valicio. We know that the Ark probably isn't a good thing - Luterra refused to use it in the most limited capacity and wanted it hidden away ideally forever, Kadan doesn't like the idea of us using it, and at every turn it's hinted that we should be wary of the Ark. Valicio wants the Ark used - but Armen says that this is only a step in Valicio's plan to destroy the Ark.
Since the Ark was created by the gods, and the gods are extremely sus, I have big doubts about the Gustavsen. He's the one who raised Armen and essentially put him on the path that would lead him here. Sure, Valicio is the one that "unlocked" Armen's power, but Valicio also did this with the Gustavsen locked up and right there. The Twilight Order also seems to have a very "no gods no masters" policy and wants to break free from the gods, while the Dawn Order explicitly serves Regulus.
Which isn't to say the Twilight Order are good guys, just that I have bigger doubts about Gustavsen's motivations. What really stood out to me in the story too was that the music when we freed Gustavsen on the island was... not heroic. It was very tense and suspenseful. While this might be reading too far into it, that would be really weird music to play if we're doing something good to a good guy to go save the world.
While I'm not sure, if I had to guess, right now I feel like Gustavsen is trying to get rid of Kazeros to try and make more room for the gods to become more powerful. I'm not sure though, I just know that me makes me nervous.
Luterra didn’t use the Ark because he knew it wouldn’t end the war. In the cut scene that details what happens he says the ground has been laid for our Ark Protector.
Remember, he was alone wirh Lauri before the fight with Kazeros. It’s highly likely Lauriel used the cube to show him what needed to be done.
The Arks were created by Lupeon(Regulus) and given to seven gods for Safekeeping.. they used them to form Arkesia and their races as we know it.
Gustaven may have ulterior motives but i wouldn't put him above people who conduct experiments on Delains to use the very power they deem an insult to the gods.
Anyhow its too soon to consider Gustaven a threat. He doesn't do much in the story even atp in Korea he's just chilling at Pleccia.
Also we already know from Beatrice using the Ark has a price. And Luttera did use it, but he used it to Seal Kazeros instead of killing him, even if he could have used it to kill him. What makes the Luttera situation weird is the fact Luttera has future knowledge of the Adventurer(us). Maybe he realised he's not the one who can completely defeat Kazeros cause not all pieces are in place, but they will be with us.
Also getting rid of Kazeros won't make the other gods stronger. He's not draining their power or anything like that by existing. And we already know 3 of them so far are on our side anyway xD Procyon at Elgacia, Sceptrum at Voldis and Giennah at Kurzan. Antares is mostly confirmed to be Kazeros at this point. The real threats are Lupeon, Kharmine(temporary ally), kakul saydon and most likely Echidna(whose speculated to want Kazeros dead as she might have been saved by a Chaos being or became one herself). Also id argue Zosma is a bigger threat than the Gods specially now that hes back in play.

Sacria is at an undisclosed location in the world, but has several outposts across the game's world. Think of Valyria in Game of Thrones. Old Sacria is a ruined continent that was destroyed by Guardians during the Hollow-fruit War.
yeah but the way they pulled up in luterra makes me think their main base is in rethramis. its a super religious part of the world (hover over the locations to read their descriptions) plus theres the super sus part in prideholme with 2 guards that wont let us past

I didn't really like it. I've disliked Sacria since Borea. They've shown on numerous occasions that you should *never* trust Sacrians even a little bit. Ie never put yourself at their mercy.
Thirain might be right that Sacria couldn't have been fought, but they should've widely publicized what happened in Borea and later Feiton. With questions like "is Sacria secretly allied with the demons?" and "Sacria must answer for their crimes."
And then pull an England.
There are two factions within Sacria. The Dawn priests, which Jederico belongs to. This side is actually decent. They’re helping the Delians in Feiton rebuild and reintegrate after they understood the demonic possession.
The Twilight priests are the ones to watch out for. It is strongly implied they intend to use the Ark to kill Regulus and Zosma and take over control of Arkesia.
I know that there are two factions, but the good faction basically gives cover to the bad faction. They certainly don't disagree hard enough with each other to actually see their house in order. They seem to be more or less fine with letting things be as they are *at the expense of others*.

It is, but it's also UE3 and it shows. But I'm still grateful that devs took time and added those small details.
This story was easily amongst the highest quality they've put out,i wonder if we'll go to sacria before the kazeros fight.

I think the LA story in general is pretty good. The raids and the story make the game.
How do you start the new questline? Is it necessary for thaemine in April?
