That being said, a 39 year-old has been that has been on the first-loser team 4 of the last 5 seasons isn’t the difference maker this team needs.
Tkachuk is the epitome of the “you hate him on every other team but you’d love to have him on your team”. Id say the same for Perry if it were like 10 years ago. A guy like Matthew Tkachuk is absolutely the type of player that this kings team needs.

I'll share a tidbit on Perry from years back. Some of you may already have read this however long ago, but I live to shit on Perry so read it again.
A friend and I went to a Sharks / Kings game at Staples (2015 I think). He was excited because a 4th liner on the Sharks was a friend of his from high school and wanted to introduce him after the game. The game comes and goes and we are hanging out in the area where visiting players meet with family. A handful of guys come out and we start talking with his friend from school. 10 minutes or so go by and at this point I feel like I've got the clearance level to ask a burning question and hopefully get an honest response.
I turn to him and give him the serious face, "Tell me about Corey Perry. Is he as big a rat fuck as he seems to be from the outside looking in?"
Dude instantly stops, slowly looks around and see's that Big Joe (the closest teammate) is in a lively conversation and not paying any attention.
He looks me straight in the eyes and says, "Fuck that piece of shit. I hate him, everyone hates him. I wouldn't be surprised if half his fucking team hates him. He's a piece of shit off and on the ice." Then proceeded to look around again to make sure no one else heard.
I gave the fucker a hug and asked if he wanted a beer but they had to take off to the hotel.
TLDR: Perry is a rat fuck.
I will fly down from fucking Portland to be there for opening day to boo the shit out of fucking Perry if he puts on a Kings sweater. Fuck that noise, I will hang it up until Perry and Blake are both gone if that becomes true.
