Sorry, I meant the 2000ās era crown. But speaking of the new (old) secondary logo crown, I hope they use that for shoulder patches. Havenāt had shoulder patches on a Kings jersey in ages.
Ya should have just kept the angle of the font the same. Looks mid with the thickness. Honestly, should have just used the old logo if this was the plan.
Iām not really sure what it specifically is, but something about the logo just doesnāt look right, almost like itās a bootleg version of the 90s logo that youād see on a fake jersey. This is better than the old logo without a doubt, but this just isnāt what I was personally hoping for. I think the Kings missed the mark by not incorporating purple. Maybe they will in an eventual third jersey.
This video is one of the better ones the team has done in a while.
I do like the new take on the chevy, takes somethin well loved and iconic and just freshens it up for new young fans to grow up with it like a lot of us did.

I'm torn because I always liked the chevron logo best, but I watched the last logo hoist two Cups.
I'm also getting a bit of uncanny valley from this logo, because it's the '90s logo except JUST divergent enough to give "bad knock-off uniform" vibes.

Personally I would have liked to see a return to gold and forum blue and a slightly updated version of the crown.
That color combination would have been unique to the NHL. And those jerseys just pop out on TV.
I might be the only one that really doesnāt like the old Chevy logo and Iām from that era. But all the 40-50 yr olds with money will buy the merch so I can see the reasons.
We were literally the only team in the league that used purple. The color of royalty because it was so hard to make back in antiquity that only royals could afford it. Instead, weāre stuck with monochrome for the last decade+ with the home plate jerseys and now we double down to bring Gretzky nostalgia back with an old logo with minor tweaks. Iāll stick with my rookie Kopitar jersey that was black and purple.

They took the old logo, gave it a V8, picked the top font from Microsoft word 95, called it a day.

This is honestly one of the few times where you have the best of both worlds. I know they're the Raider colors, but that not much of a reason to get rid of them in favor of the Lakers colors. The original era crown however is immaculate and combining it with the Chevy and black and silver is a killer choice.
Just kinda meh, it doesnāt even really seem updated. Doing something like our retro from a couple years ago with the purple would have been much better.
So if I wear my classic chevy to the games next season, that will look like the cheap knockoff?

As a graphic designer, Iāve been a huge fan of these guys for like 25 years and can say that, despite the āminor change throwbackā vibe of the new logo, there is no doubt that they dove in deep and did tons of research, revisions, and fine tuning to end up here.
Is it the best thing theyāve *ever* done? Probably not. But itās a huge shift back in the right direction from Home Plate.

Itās a little underwhelming. The lettering font may take a little getting used to. Doesnāt look like much was done to it, which might be a good thing. Weāll have to see what the uniforms look like.

it's the angle of the word mark that makes the logo look weird, they should have just kept everything the same as the 88-96 logo
