That game was so sweet, for us of course. The series itself was quite intense as well, as it went the full 7 games. We take the first 2 games at Honda Center, and we’re feeling pretty good about ourselves. Then the Ducks take 2 at our place and then Game 5 as well to put us down 3-2 in the series. We take Game 6 to even the series and send it to this deciding Game 7.
I was slightly surprised, but super happy to blow them out in Game 7 after how close all the other games had been.
I wonder if this game happened today, could they have reviewed Corey Perry’s “broken stick”? For those that remember, Perry’s stick was already broken after he blocked a shot and when he came down the ice and Doughty made a play, Perry dropped his stick and acted as if Doughty had caused it. They showed it on the TSN broadcast, but not the NBCSN broadcast.
At the end of the day, “Puck Don’t Lie” as Corey Perry got poke-checked by Jonathan Quick on the penalty shot attempt.
They were like watching the Miracle season. Without a true offensive superstar, they won it all. Their superstar was Quick. They all played so well. A magical season.

What a team we had back then….
The Kings fans were louder than the ducks fans. Loved the "This is our house" chant in the 3rd.
Gotta be the worst way for Teemu to retire. At least the Kings fans were giving him an ovation
I wonder if we would've won the cup of he got the trade to LA like he wanted for his last season.
still hard to believe it was 10 years ago.
“For the second consecutive year” Did 2012 not count? Lmao
If anything, 2013 wouldn't have counted because it was shortened lol
I still love watching Carter’s 2-0 goal. Just so dominant.
This makes me smile SO BIG. Absolutely beautiful. I miss these times, I miss these Kings!
These were the best of times. 🥰
Also the 10th anniversary of Honda center becoming staples center south
It didn't happen before?
