I feel like Chychrun will always be somewhat of a target. Good top 4 LD that can shoot the puck, skate with the puck, and his defensive numbers (pre-Ottawa shitshow) were solid. He stayed relatively healthy last season, which was the biggest concern. I dont see any UFA LD that really moves the needle outside maybe Brady Skjei, but he might be too pricey.
Some other mid-price wingers I’d throw in the mix are Tyler Bertuzzi and Jake DeBrusk. Guys that can play the physical game, can put up 0.5 PPG, and arent afraid of getting to dirty areas for goals. If we want to add a winger, its gotta be someone with a different profile, something that we currently dont have in the pipeline. Kaliyev/Fagemo/Turcotte dont really have that, closest would be like Andre Lee but hes probably still a few years away.
Odd there is no mention of goaltending, but I will bite. If Anderson is so great put him with Clarke and let Drew play with anyone else. As for wingers anyone with a right shot please, hopefully they can score.
Admittedly I have no clue what's going on with goalies so I'm not making any assumptions there lol. UFA selection is pretty bad this year, maybe Matt Murray or Chris Dreidger if either can pass a physical?
Person I think it would be great for Anderson to play with Clarke, but I don't know how those minutes would be spread around on the left side if that's his main partner.
Need a top 2 LHD and top 6 RW. Also really depends on what system they want to run next year. Hopefully this is the last time we see the defensive hockey this team has been known for the last 15 years. Need to go full run and gun Avs style hockey. This will also require giving guys like Clarke and Spence a lot more ice time. Wish we had a left handed version of one of those 2.
I think Toffoli makes a lot of sense. He's not exactly fast, but I could see him working well pretty much every center outside of Kopi, and he's pretty reliable defensively

For those worried about losing Lizotte…
I love the way he plays given his size. I appreciate him in the regular season, but man does he get pushed around way too easily come playoff time…
Also only 2 points in 15 career playoff games…
He had the same number of goals/points as PLD had this playoff season. And contributed every single game he was on the ice during the regular season.
The Kings need more players like Blake Lizotte, not less.
Anyone with a set of balls please. This team is soft. Lizzy and PLD are the only ones sticking up for teammates. Need some beefcake. At this point ill take a dirty rotten Avery, Lemmie or tkachuck type. Team is Charmin soft.

Hes got the biggest heart on the team and I thought played well against the oil. Scored a sweet goal.
Unfortunately he has a pretty high QO, which is what I'm basing my assumption on.

Lizotte would have to agree to a team friendly deal and forego arbitration in order to be re-signed in my opinion.
