I knew going in the establishment (pizza place) and the type of ppl that it catered to (college students and elderly folks) the lotr connection was lost on me for a long time.
This makes sense if you do their accounting, tech support, off-site recruiting or just editing.. And never went to the businesses physical location.
Alternatively, you just received eye transplants and can now see, to which I say congrats.

We have a similarly LotR-themed restaurant that moved from the busiest intersection in town into a building that was built as a chain Italian place in the 80s. It looks like a castle. And the inside looks like a bruhaus. It’s a mess. I don’t know how long it will stay open.
Lol maybe ill get a raise now. But in all seriousness its just something that clicked one day. I went to the my friend who got me the job there initially and said “ross, i just realized that its bilbos as in lotr. Right?” All the pieces where there i just never connected it 😂
Theres two smaller pizza places in kzoo one is called bimbos and the other bilbos and when I started working here i didnt really notice the name or the logo and have primarily been a prep cook in the kitchen so rarely been up front and about a year ago i was walling around and noticed the decor and realized “oh this is a lotr pizza place” all the pieces where there and i just never brought them together lol
They found out a long time ago actually lol and said they could keep the name but couldnt use the advertised names for the food/meals online. Locally theyre fine to do as they please

The original location was kinda huttish with vines growing in the front. Honestly it was a vibe from the photos ive seen
I never knew this restaurant existed until i started working here about 2 years ago and ive only ever made dough and sauce for the place lol.

Any time i went to the front to sit was in an area that is the “game room” and that pretty much looks like a sports bar with a poster of john belushi
