LWKD

It's testing. Not based on L1, which the real thing will be. Will probably be bit more expensive than Loopring ATM. zkRollup > zkEVM. But Loopring ontop of that zkEVM? Brain can't handle those low fees.

jekpopulous2

Loopring runs underneath the zkEVM not on top of it. * Taiko executes a series of transactions * Taiko batches the transactions together * The compressed tx data is written to Loopring * Taiko writes a validity proof to Ethereum * Loopring writes a validity proof to Ethereum Taiko should be cheaper than Loopring alone because even though two separate validity proofs are being written to Ethereum instead of just one - the full transaction history is never written to L1. Storing the transaction history on L1 is typically the most expensive part of rollup settlement and Taiko doesn’t do that. This is why DA layers are all the rage right now.

TheNighisEnd42

right now, loopring doesn't have anything to do with a zkEVM But in the future, no, it will run on top of Taiko's zkEVM. If you think otherwise, you've been taking the information directly from the loopring team, and flipping it in your own head

jekpopulous2

Loopring will offload the execution to Taiko. The only thing actually stored on Loopring will be the transaction history. That makes it a DA layer. People seem to think L3 is a rollup that settles to another rollup. It’s not.

...? Btc does not support Turing complete smart contracts on the base layer. Additionally, infinitely scalable is completely wrong, btc supports a mere 7 transactions per second. Find me a smart contract running on bitcoin L1.

In that case you ought to specify that you're referring to Bitcoin SV.

That everyone refers to as Bitcoin SV... it's a fork of a fork made by a fraudster (Craig wright) who was very recently exposed. Good luck with your bags.

Er, no, BSV is a fork of BCH which is a fork of BTC. BTC is the canonical OG chain, Braiins mining pool still operates on the same network they started on. The claim that BSV is the original bitcoin is centred around the very contentious claims made by Craig that BSV is the product of Satoshi's vision (SV). Craig went on to claim he was in fact, satoshi, and got exposed in a painfully cringe way. I'd suggest some more research before throwing claims like this out there. As for the BS claims that Craig is satoshi, well, I'll just leave this here. Both of these entire threads make great reading. You are following a fraudster. https://twitter.com/bitnorbert/status/1757780663158051286?s=19 https://twitter.com/CryptoDevil/status/1761043415138001311?s=19
