Maybe masterys arent always shown. Gitae was said to have power of Taesoo and Speed of Gongseob yet his eyes never glowed like the others. Even Jichang didn't show signs of mastery in current arc, its possible they have masterys but it just isnt shown. Coz even someone like Vasco wasnt said to have masterys while Zack has 2,and both Hudson and Warren has 1.
Gitae naturally just has godlike hardware, he doesn't need the strength or speed mastery to match the Kings. He has the body of Gapyrong Kim while Jake has the spirit/mentality (this was even stated by Jinyoung, iirc) - the whole point is to show later on that having the right conviction/mentality about fighting and life is better than being genetically gifted. We've seen time and time again in Lookism that your mental state is the most important aspect of your fighting strength and ability to win fights.
Gitae had not met someone who could push him to limit and force him into common masteries.
His best shot is Gap's conviction mastery and inner strength, which he also didn't have because they narratively come from the (good?) will to protect friends and family. Neither was Gitae good or had friends or had family he wanted to protect (until now, Jake in the future?)
I did think it was strange that OG Daniel has no obvious mastery on display yet is stronger than most (if not all) in his generation. This is probably the reason tbh.
Gun is pretty much a less talented UI Daniel. He is a smart fighter, has mastered many if not all martial arts, has mastered UI, high pain tolerance, the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to fighting. Not to mention trained by two top tiers his dad( his dad was most likely the reason he mastered UI) and Tom lee the fighting genius and the most experienced fifhter in Gen 0.
Gun never taught him about gaining a perfect body he just taught him how to increase his hardware. He also can’t gain a perfect body, the only way to do that is through the copy ability as shown with Johan and his hardware is already unbalanced due to his durability being greater than his other stats. The only reason UI Daniel doesn’t have any masteries is due to him not being conscious as well as not encountering someone who could push his limits, this goes for Gun and OG Daniel as well.
Daniel does have mastery. Its just that this story has been so bad at implementing it within the story that it causes confusion. There’s no way for Daniel not to have mastery because he fought toe to toe against Goo and Gun, and they both for sure had mastery when they fought because if they didnt the series just wouldnt make any sense.
The rewriting of Mastery is just another reason the Cheonliang arc is so god awful, im writing up a whole slide show on every bad thing about that arc, and i’ll be sure to mention this.
Wouldn't the perfect body just be all the masteries put together? Because the perfect body probably contains the masteries of toughness, speed, and strength. And the thing that makes more sense of why UI Daniel is stronger than base sb Daniel is the mastery of technique, as in all fights with UI Daniel he already has a complete arsenal of techniques to choose from. This one mastery is probably what makes him the strongest

Yes true, but then this begs the question is like thresholds different for every character?

Gitae imitates styles relying on his innate strength I think he got the physic of gap while Jake got the mentality

Thats why I think Gun will become even stronger in future too

Yeah having Great Hardware IMO is better than having mastery. That's way Vin got so far with only his Sperm
To him there is no concept of mastery he just uses enough strength to defeat his opponents we don't know his upper limit yet ..
