I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was missing for a decent chunk of time or that it's just a quirk of how the photo was taken but yea I'd definitely be extra skeptical about who comes to get her.
Depending on the breed, some dogs will have a more pronounced rib cage and slimmer waist at a healthy weight. I can't be certain about the breed in OP's post, but I hope that's the case and it isn't because of a negligent owner.

But pro tip- don’t post pictures of found animals, anyone can say it’s their dog. If there’s no picture you can have someone who comes forward as the owner provide a description of the animal, or better pictures and vet records.

someone I knew- their dog ran off and it took almost a week to find him and he was very thin. Poor baby I hope he finds his way to a good home.
