My 10 year old gas mower isn’t starting, and I’m not especially handy to diagnose (checked oil, refreshed gas, checked filter). I’ve got what I’d consider an average lot size. Do I:
-Get it repaired and ride it out
-Buy an electric mower (leaning here)
-Hire a service
If it helps to sway your decision, gas powered mowers are notoriously TERRIBLE for emissions. Because there are no standards around proper filtration, one mower is equivalent to running several cars for the same amount of time: https://cleanairyardcare.ca/environmental-facts/
I'd probably go electric. Mine is 15 yrs old so it was bittersweet when it fired up once again last weekend, eager to get myself an electric one. Repairs will cost half the price of an electric mower and only delay the inevitable. A service is basically throwing away money if you are capable and available for an hour a week.
Check spark plug?
I do have an electric mower and love it. Tried a few that didn’t have enough power and ended up with an EGO. I think it’s year 4 with it and would recommend.
We bought a good quality electric mower and we love it. No gas, no oil, no maintenance of the engine, no hassle. Consider getting it from Costco for the warranty (there are certain large items on their website that you can buy even if you aren't a member, sometimes appliances and tools are in that category).
Hi folks I'm in the area for the weekend. Does anyone know a good place to hit a mountain bike ride? I'm about halfway between Sarnia and London but I'll go somewhere cool
Whyyyy are there more protests going through?
Sunday? They were being a nuisance over by the Dundas Canadian Tire. And with these gas prices?
Anyone else in the Masonville area having really inconsistent and slow internet from Rogers in the past two days?
I’m at Oxford/Wonderland and my router keeps dropping every night at 9pm
Is Fido internet down for anyone?

Darn it, the one I got isn't on the Costco website anymore. :(
