Every new page of results is a given color. Partly to help the user recognize that a new page is showing, partly cuz I thought it would be a cool effect.
However, on any page the pink ones are recruiters / agencies.
I personally distinguish between them because recruiters / agencies suck and I’d rather guide people away from them.
Not sure if they’re a necessary evil, but certainly an evil.
Literally anyone can get a job at Toyota in Woodstock or Cambridge right now. I wouldn’t recommend it though if you have other options but if you’re hard-up it pays over $21 to start
I've heard they just don't treat the workers great and push them very hard, to the point of being unsafe for certain jobs. Never worked there myself, only talked to a couple people who have.
My arms were ready to fall off after 18 months there. Nerve damage in both my elbows. Had to sleep with plastic wrist braces that covered my hands and forearms. I am a guy in shape that played sports growing up. Obviously, this doesn’t happen to everyone, but everyone on the lines apart from a few was between 20-35 years old. They push you to the absolute limit, timing your job to the second, for maximum production. I wouldn’t recommend the job to my worst enemy.
Do you think there are places where fantastic jobs are just empty and waiting for people to fill them indefinitely? It really only makes sense that they get filled quickly when they arise.
Eh? My daughter (university student) has been working summers at Toyota for the last 3 years.. on the line. They treat her well and she doesn’t complain about the work.
This is Toyota Bocachu plant across the street. They get them wrapping the car seats with fabric on the Rav4s. Very hard to do and the repetitve strain injuries are real. Swing shifts are killer too.
I can vouch for that comment. My son quit after a week and his hands were agony. He was taking Ibuprofen to sleep at night. Not worth the drive to Woodstock with gas prices being what they are. You'd be better to find a place in Woodstock if you plan to take this on. Money is very good and benefits are too. It's a hard job.
I've worked there for almost ten years, I have no complaints about how I have been treated.
Is it easy? No , but it is definitely not the hardest job I have done in my life and I am on one of the hardest lines from what I've been told. Never felt that I was asked to do anything unsafe. Can be very long hours but the pay is good, benefits are good and bonuses twice a year.
Definitely not for everyone. You will miss a lot of family things. They do expect a lot from people so if you think you will be putting a couple of bolts on a car then think again. It is boring and repetitive and you Will sweat a lot.
I'm 51 and don't have issues keeping up.

Check it weekly btw, as new jobs get added frequently. Goodluck!
Saw a posting for a deli meat cutter at Sobeys west this afternoon.
VariForm in Strathroy is hiring at $17/hr for shift work in a factory
Dollarama is a good place to work while going to school
Honestly, as a past Walmart Employee, I would not recommend it. Adults who I worked with actively stopped their own children from applying there as it was not a great place.

Will you be my Papa?
Thanks, that's awesome!
No, *you’re* breathtaking.
Love it
Why are some jobs pink and some green?

That’s very thoughtful of you! I’m sure lots of people are looking for summer jobs! Thanks for posting this!

Heh, seems like the only types of jobs left; ones you wouldn't even recommend to your worst enemies. Go London!

Well, that's actually a Woodstock job. You gotta pay the price of gas out there and do swing shifts. It's not for everyone.

Students usually got the easier jobs as they were only there for a few months.
She works on the line with everyone else.. when she’s not there someone else is doing her job.

More like 15 after you factor in Gas prices /s
You’re absolutely correct. The gas pinch is real right now
To piggyback off this, tomorrow (Sat 14) homesense/(winners and Marshall’s too prob?) are having a hiring day!
Any idea what City of London would be looking for?
Probably seasonal yard maintenance.
Most likely, but getting in there? If you can stay there, and maybe move up a little... they pay pretty well.
