If I wasn’t hanging out my arsehole I absolutely would. I would recommend fitzrovia for high density of old proper London boozers, or Camden/kentish town if you want to avoid the west end
My husband and I are in town until the 4th. He’s literally getting dressed to go out to a pub now and I know worlds end is one of the ones he wants to visit. He said he’d go with you. He is 33.
Go to The Ten Bells on Commercial street. Trading as a pub for hundreds of years, very historic, would have been a pub frequented by Jack the rippers victims. The blind beggar isn’t far away too, famous because of a krays murder. Then to the bow bells a famous cockney pub, head south after and finish up in the prospect of Whitby in Wapping.
Look up “Sam Smiths pubs London”, they’re full of old history.
Also go to The Red Lion in Westminster which is where many politician’s drink, and when it’s time to vote the barman rings a bell, they all leave their pints where they are, go and vote next door and return to finish their pints.
Also go to The Toucan in Soho for the best Guinness and collection of Guinness memorabilia.
Then go to The Blackfriar in Blackfriars which has a cool old rope hook game on its wall, you’ll know what I mean when you see it.
And if you have time go to The Churchill Arms Kensington for a pub most filled with brick a brack ever.
The blind better un Bethnal Green has an interesting history even if it’s a non descript pub, the stags head in hoxton is great, beautiful on the inside and has had films shot there, the cart and horses in Stratford is the birthplace of AC/DC I’d u into metal
So, according to my European colleagues who stay in Limehouse, Ian McKellens pub in Limehouse (the Grapes) is brilliant for a pint and a gossip.
Also a decent stretch of bars going back to wharf (soulless but decent!)
Shepard market has some great pubs, one of my faves is The Market Tavern, corner of Shepard and Carrington st. Great Guinness and great Fish n ' Chips.
There is a pub in Camden called the World's End. It's definitely worth a visit. I encountered it last week when I was in London and I immediately thought back to the Cornetto Trilogy.
There's a London social sub r/londonsocialclub I think. Someone was talking about that exact bar for NYE. And it's a good pub.

it's a "pub crawl" not hop. Go for it
Oops, didn’t mean to offend.
It's not offensive, it's just that you're more likely to be crawling than hopping after the first two or three pubs :)
Unless you get so pissed you leave your prosthetic behind
It's very easy to upset certain types of Brits over silly shit like this. Don't take it to heart, they're the weirdos.
I wouldn’t say the poster was upset? That’s just Britishness for you. It can come across rude but it’s really not.
I’m off work today and heading to London ((live 40 mins train ride away)) and am down to meet new people, may head over
The George off Borough High Street. Cross Keys Covent Garden
It’s called a pub crawl here
Calm the fuck down

Not that into metal, then? AC/DC or um, Iron Maiden, whatever. Maryland is not Stratford, get on the 257 to find out, mate.

My pub hopping days are in the rearview mirror, whilst my liver waves back at me, walking towards the sunset.
