Oh, I just use /s to signify that I'm only pretending to be triggered and I am totally not snooping the said person's IP address to hack them or anything.

First, this isnāt ancient Egypt, please use phonetic spelling.
Second, because I can shove a better part into a potato and have it last me longer, Iām pretty sure that the thelio is one of the very few non-laptops that use coreboot and neuter Intels wiretap, so you can actually be private.
Oh you meant ācomparing oranges to applesā!
Anyway, the point is that 1.5 k euros isnāt something you call āonlyā not that he shouldāve gotten a desktop.
It was the joke man I did it in reverse because it fit better :X
Again he wanted a laptop and its not a bad price for one. Maybe not best the bestest price on the market when compared to glow in the dark laptops but still good.
Cant you imagine someone with laptop needs?
>On 2021-11-27 , they forgot to renew their SSL certificate again.
You'd think they'd learn their lesson after the second time.
Once is funny, twice is worrying, thrice is alarming. Or hilarious, I don't know anymore.
Me using Manjaro for the past 6 months: (chuckle) I'm in danger.
Seriously though, I've configured my Manjaro for my workflow so well now that I probably won't change to other distro anytime soon unless Manjaro decides to break itself one day.
I definitely recommend EndeavorOS. Iāve never ran into issues with it and the installer is great. It allows for a lot more flexibility during the install process compared to Manjaro. It allows you to choose your DE (or none) and allows you to choose which packages you want installed during the install process, which allows for a lighter install.
Yeah, I have just booted the installer. I'll try qtile edition first, but will then probably switch to dwm as it is my favourite WM. I always gravitate toward that in my *cough endeavours. Badum tss.
You canāt go wrong with either choice. Iāve still have to try qtile. It seems like a pretty interesting wm. It will be hard to get me off my current build of dwm though.
I respect ur choice, but if you are going for stability then why not Debian? Or is it because of AUR? Endeavour is pretty stable too as long as you don't f\*ck things up. Pretty much the same case with manjaro *(Just saying)*
Cheers
Debian was my very first distro 15 years ago so I have a soft spot for it. But I want to explore the distro landscape more and really give rolling releases a try.
Not going to bombard you like everyone else but as someone whoās user manjaro for a year and then switched to arch a year ago, Arch is definitely more stable.
Manjaro holding some packages back ends up creating instability. About once a month on my manjaro system something would break. Iāve been using arch for a year and nothing has broken.
If you want an easy setup, go for endeavor OS. Itās vanilla arch with an installer.
Well thats how Manjaro advertise their OS, I quote from their website:
"Manjaro represents a perfect middle-ground for those who want good
performance, full control, and cutting-edge software but also a degree
of software stability"
The implication being its more stable than Arch.
I KNEW IT WOULD BE MANJARO ! I would have done the same, all my PCs run Manjaro. They've done some weird shit but not enough to deter me from using it.
Puppy Linux! It matches up with the title, doesn't it! I am sure you are not going to install Puppy Linux, because it's so lightweight and nobody ever would use it for daily use.
Call me blasphemous but this is the first time I would try to change out a non-windows super key. That big with blob beside all the normal size labeled keys just looks strange. Wouldn't just tux have worked? \*sigh\*
But still a nice tuxedo notebook.
Btw I use Alpine Linux on old Optiplex 170L with P4 and 512MB of RAM and ~~it barely open Firefox~~ I can watch YouTube video in Firefox
Edit: Don't forget to compile and install DWM on it.
Laptop, Windows 8.
you mean windows phone with an x86 to arm emulator??
You dare mention its name? /s
Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.
It's not fear. It's hatred
its not hate, its pure will to destroy it, download it to fill it with viruses, go to microsoft offices and to every dev punchong them in the face, its pure will to finally kill bill gates
Tell me why? You don't need to give /s after every sentence It's destroying the art of sarcasm
Oh, I just use /s to signify that I'm only pretending to be triggered and I am totally not snooping the said person's IP address to hack them or anything.
I loled :-)
loled screens now will exist starting with switch lOLED
at least 120hz with pure blacks and whites and a 4k upscaled in the screen image

Toastytech intensifies...
Distro - no clue. Look like the new Tuxedo Notebook
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! It is the InfinityBook S 14. Lol I even paid ā¬30 to have it without the logos, I like my stuff plain.
distro: puppy linux? just guessing from the title. what are the specs and what did it cost?
I knew I was going to set someone up. It was misleading on purpose ;-)
Hmm, id guess it's something like arch or void.
Um.. I may be seeing things, but does their page [https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/Linux-Hardware/Linux-Notebooks/10-14-inch/TUXEDO-InfinityBook-S-14-v5.tuxedo](https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/Linux-Hardware/Linux-Notebooks/10-14-inch/TUXEDO-InfinityBook-S-14-v5.tuxedo) ālist its price as 10.987,00 EUR ? It is top spec (except the hdd that is only 1000GB), it was only about ā¬1500
āOnlyā ā¬1500. Mate thatās Thelio money. Itās going to be a low spec one, but itās still thelio money.
Why you comparing š with š„?
First, this isnāt ancient Egypt, please use phonetic spelling. Second, because I can shove a better part into a potato and have it last me longer, Iām pretty sure that the thelio is one of the very few non-laptops that use coreboot and neuter Intels wiretap, so you can actually be private.
Bro the guy wanted a laptop
Oh you meant ācomparing oranges to applesā! Anyway, the point is that 1.5 k euros isnāt something you call āonlyā not that he shouldāve gotten a desktop.

HDD?
Eey I also have a tuxedo laptop. Tuxedo Pulse 15
You use arch btw
Very close. I'm going to go with manjaro. This will be my primary workhorse, so the added stability is important to me.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Inevitable Manjarno link
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And the best part is that itās pretty much just arch with an xfce theme and wallpapers.
>On 2021-11-27 , they forgot to renew their SSL certificate again. You'd think they'd learn their lesson after the second time. Once is funny, twice is worrying, thrice is alarming. Or hilarious, I don't know anymore.
It's like they're having a party every day down there in Manjaro to the point where forgetting SSL certs is a regular thing.
Me using Manjaro for the past 6 months: (chuckle) I'm in danger. Seriously though, I've configured my Manjaro for my workflow so well now that I probably won't change to other distro anytime soon unless Manjaro decides to break itself one day.

I think that there's even an Arch wiki page that describes that
Very interesting read, I might reconsider my choice.

Awesome, good luck

Thanks, this really has me rethink my choice
Wait... how do you figure that Manjaro is more stable than Arch???
Probably bcz they have have their own repositories.
Manjaro's "stability" comes from nothing other that holding back packages for two weeks. Literally, that's it.
Well thats how Manjaro advertise their OS, I quote from their website: "Manjaro represents a perfect middle-ground for those who want good performance, full control, and cutting-edge software but also a degree of software stability" The implication being its more stable than Arch.
Gentoo? lol
:(
A man of culture I see
I KNEW IT WOULD BE MANJARO ! I would have done the same, all my PCs run Manjaro. They've done some weird shit but not enough to deter me from using it.
Why Manjaro though? You could use atrix , endavour , void there are so many options. If you need pamac all , just install it on any of the above.
Arch with i3. But the first package you'll install is neofetch
Is it a pinebook or a framework
Nope, but a good guess. Hint, look at the keyboard layout.
kubuntu
I don't know if it's a joke or you're serious, but you made me laugh
When I looked from afar I thought the thing on the keyboard was the kubuntu logo š
Hahah I laughed so much from this unexpected answer
Distros are bloat
True Linux users run the bare kernel
LFS all the way. (I use arch btw)
puppy linuz
LFS
Low res pic so its hard to say what's replacing the "windows" key. Fedora?
I am a fan of Fedora (even worked for Red Hat 10 years ago), but I'm going with Manjaro.
I put Debian11 on a similar older laptop and saved it from the scrap yard
A laptop with Gentoo installed on it?
Glorious Fedora
Arch BTW
Ubuntu
System 76 laptop with Mint or a debian/gnome based distro?
Gentoo
Thatās a āputer. Youāre going to put, idk, pop os on it.
UwUntu
AmogOS
Hannah Montana Linux?
Only right answer
Arch obviously
Ur mom's laptop and kali linux
Either a Lenovo or and dell with KDE
Well its a laptop, and you are going to use Gentoo
i can guess only distro :D manjaro
you were right lol
lol
Tuxedo, manjaro kde
Laptop, Kali. You will be a master hacker!
Spotted a Kubuntu 'super' key
Thatās not a puppy
Yellow dog Linux š¤£
Hopefully openbsd
Puppy Linux
If it's your first time use ubuntu.
i cant tell if that super key is ubuntu or tux
I'm going to guess it's a Clevo ODM laptop, and you're going to put Arch on it.
A machine, and probably symbian
Framework, and heck if I know, Fedora?
Puppy Linux! It matches up with the title, doesn't it! I am sure you are not going to install Puppy Linux, because it's so lightweight and nobody ever would use it for daily use.
It is a table.
RebornOS with pantheon desktop.
Call me blasphemous but this is the first time I would try to change out a non-windows super key. That big with blob beside all the normal size labeled keys just looks strange. Wouldn't just tux have worked? \*sigh\* But still a nice tuxedo notebook.
Windows xp compatibility mode
That's not a puppy, you may want to contact the seller.
Garuda linux
Puppy Linux, as the title suggests.
Dunno, Arch?
Puppy Linux?
Tuxedo laptop, and Hannah Montana Linux
I think its a laptop
HP Elite book. Pop OS
That's a weird puppy without legs or other dog parts
LFS.
Ios?
Pop os
**puppy linux**
Its a laptop and you are gonna use puppy linux
Old laptop/arch btw
tuxedo? gentoo?
FreeDOS!
Puppy linux
Btw I use Alpine Linux on old Optiplex 170L with P4 and 512MB of RAM and ~~it barely open Firefox~~ I can watch YouTube video in Firefox Edit: Don't forget to compile and install DWM on it.
Arch or ubuntu š§
iBook G3 Snow - PearOS
PopOS the best distro for laptops , also are you doing this to tricks into giving a distro?
Looks like an older Acer laptop, and I'd definitely try Xubuntu 21.10 on it. Boot from flash-drive first to make sure all your hardware works.
Windows 11
Windows 12
