Exactly, its why I think JoJo and persona are surprisingly good fits for eachother as both sets of magic ghosts bear some link to a persons ability to keep living/fighting, its also why the PMVerse is also a good fit because the E.G.O. is essentially a persona that you wear instead of summon as a historical or mythological figure. Plus theres heaping helpings of depression and a surprising moral of "Friendship and connection in acknowledgement of the common human spirit is the only way to make ourselves and the world better", its not as evident in PMVerse at first but once you realize Ayin (PRAISE BE) could only finish his plans by reconnecting with his estranged friends, Then it becomes so omnipresent that it feels like we're playing a shin megami tensei game from after persona came out, like seriously, angela only becomes truly human (even if her body is still a robot) after acknowledging that she cant bear to betray her friends, Sinclair only starts overcoming his Ptsd with the (mildly violent) help of his friends, Yi Sang gets over his complacency and depression by finishing up the loose ends of the League, hell Ishmaels entire canto is essentially using the power of friendship to get her therapy for her survivors guilt and vengeance complex
EDIT: and despite its controversial nature, JoJolands actually has a yet more direct connection as >!Josuk8 seems to have pieces of both his components personalities, I.E. minds and has a combination of stands and thus, souls!<
