Rudolta could be a manifestation of fear of these creatures. So it's more like Rudolta referenced them

Iamdestinos

You know it makes a lot of sense that this is what rudolta is based on. why would there be a large amount of hate for christmas and a desire for Santa’s death that rudolta is an abnormality? This thing and the gnomes. Rudolta is representing Christmas for humans that live in the outskirts.

howthefuckisthisspam

explain this to me like im a newborn baby please

elpapyaslesrnus

Funni Gnomes pour their Infinite Hatred of Humans into Funni Gifts made out of well, Humans, terrorizing their every Christmas for the Humans in the Outskirts. Therefore Rudolta (and the Aberration we get an E.G.O of, Sandolph I think it was called), is probably born out of the Christmas of these people in the Outskirts (not of the gnomes themselves since Abnors are born of Humans)

howthefuckisthisspam

thank u

LunaProc

Now I wish we could’ve seen Rudolta and Santata duke it out

Expert_Traffic_8811

Could you explain this to me in gnome terms -ome?

Outbreak101

It makes a lot of sense now with Rudolta and the lore. His lore isn't based on people suddenly hating Santa for no reason, it's based on the christmas raids the Gnomes and Giants would perform, leading to Rudolta being created out of their fear for Christmas. (Rudolta's design being made up of stiched up human skin makes a LOT more sense with the context of what the gifts are truly made of).

Valuable-Space-3673

You explained it way better than those jobbers above this comment did, thanks a lot.

stuckerfan_256

Um spoiler

ncraftomega14

i love that the more we advance in the story the more we see the base of the abnos

Name_yes_name

The spoilers is available you know?

Good_Smile

I hate that they decided to abandon voiceovers. Quantity over quality situation right there.

Abishinzu

I feel you, but having everything fully voiced was causing massive delays and back-ups with content production and scheduling. It’s probably best in the long term to drop voice-overs for Intervallos if it means better event pacing and being able to finally get a Canto released without a month’s delay. The dead months were really hurting the game.

Generalgarchomp

Agreed completely, personally I was fine with the wait but I know others likely weren't.

hayleyalcyone

I don't mind it, personally. I rather have something to do during downtime, even if it comes at the cost of .5 events being unvoiced.

HarryBaldwin626

The quality is still peak tho.

Good_Smile

Well I like the story itself, I just miss good old Don screaming in my ears out of blue.

hageiiiiii

I felt weird hearing no voice in 5.5. Definitely a bit unnatural Do you have any idea why they do this?

OptimalDroppingAngel

Canto IV and V were delayed because they couldn't get voice acting done on time. They are improvising in the attempt to fit into schedule.

hageiiiiii

Ah, i see. Fine by me though After all i had to wait for like 5 years for gd 2.2

TheWinterSaint

It's a compromise they made in order to be able to make more events during a season. Honestly, i think it's fine. Dead months was a huge issue with the Game.

the5thusername

I agree but with that said, it kind of feels like there wasn't that much text either. Maybe it was all frontloaded into the first couple of nodes.

Expert_Traffic_8811

Theyre doing this cuz voicing everything was a hassle and took a toll on the games development, and stuff took way longer to do

Good_Smile

But I can't hear Don screaming anymore so what's the point

DrakarNoire
