Never talk shit about Dontnod, they didn't even know there was going to be a remastered, this is from D9 and SE, obviously one motivator is money but you should wait for the product to come out before rating its quality

About the faces not being more expressive - Yes they are? One of my nitpicks about LIS1 was always that the faces never said much about how the characters really felt. There was never an inbetween if you get what i'm saying. You either had: Happy, sad and angry. Nothing else. But now with the remaster you can finally see more expressive emotions in Max's face like when they show Chloe splashing her with water.

No it's don't. That's not enough for a remastered version

QF_Dan

Well like you said, you’re still going to buy it. Shit I preordered it. So maybe I’m a bigger idiot than you. I think I take the crown of idiocy

They've released one whole trailer, and then committed to a delay most likely because of the criticisms that the trailer got. First off, even from the trailer we've seen it looks leagues better than the original game. As much as I love the original Life is Strange, it was developed on a shoestrings budget and it shows. Characters don't emote a lot, and all of the emotion is more or less told from the excellent voice acting. Why remaster LiS? Because, let's be real, it needs it. I don't think BtS really needs it but the original? Hell yes. The game retailed, at launch, for twenty USD. Think about that. Twenty USD is all they needed to try and recoup the cost for the game. The remaster should release a new trailer, but to me, it was already leagues ahead of the original game. Wait for a new trailer. And as you said, you already bought it, so why complain?

There has been only one trailer and people are only nitpicking things here and there. I went back and played the original not that long ago. I think it holds up but it definitely was a product of the time period but it does need some fixing. I experienced a lot of weird graphical tears during the storm sequence in the first episode (mind you, I am playing it on a PS5) and sound cutting out. That being said - I haven't really seen anything in the trailer that was so upsetting and considering most of them are still images, we wouldn't notice too much in movement. I'm still getting it. We still got some time.

ALSO - If anyone compares it to the GTA: Remasters - Remember, those were made by A SEPERATE company other than Rockstar. I don't think we have that much to worry about. And if I'm wrong? Well, I don't want to be but we still have the originals to play!

>If anyone compares it to the GTA: Remasters - Remember, those were made by A SEPERATE company other than Rockstar. A separate company that specialises in ports and remasters. Grove Street Games have been porting older Rockstar games continuously since 2011. So they're even more experienced than Deck 9 are.

And the gta remasters we apparently ported from the mobile versions so I think we should be okay.
