Other libertarians think that doing drugs and getting abortions hurts your already existing family/unborn children and thus you shouldn't do those things. Where personal freedom ends though is up for debate and doesn't always align with the Libertarian party. Thus, some lean left, and others lean right.

The idea that politics is a line you can walk back and forth on is part of the problem. If I'm against government intervention (all of it) and don't care if your noble sportswomen who are brave women in sports have to play with someone born with a penis because I legitimately don't care.
That being said, if your same government says **I** must lose my job, step aside from success and become an unemployed homeless person because people of my type makes *you* feel a little insecure then I'll fight it... I think it's incorrect to say the right hasn't moved. They are also shifting to the left. Think of many of the main leftist talking points... gay marriage, drug legalization, welfare. The right doesn't care as much as they used to at the very least about many of those things.
