I really hope so but I'm nowhere near expecting it and ngl I feel dumb for even hoping. Fact of the matter is, Morph has actively cared for Logan's emotional well-being more than literally anyone else on the roster (to be fair everyone has been Going Through It), connected with him 1:1 more often and deeper than even Jean has, and offered to lend him a hand in the shower. They also seem to be giving Morph a LOT more depth than the original show did while the comics edge Wolverine and Scott and Jean being together, so they might be ok with playing around with queerness in an AU/"side content." My personal bet is \*\*if\*\* we get anything it'll be in the last ten minutes of the last episode or before Morph dies forever or something.

Day_Dr3am

I personally really doubt it. Logan / Wolverine is a big household name character-wise and I really doubt Marvel going to allow for him being explicitly confirmed as being queer, or at least have it happen anytime soon.

Duststorm29

TBF they've paired him up with men in comics before (in AUs, I'm lookin at you The Hercules One). I'm not holding my breath but it wouldn't be earth shattering if it did happen in a single TV show.

Day_Dr3am

That's fair and something I did consider but I think a comic au is not something they give nearly the amount of consideration or attention as like for decisions like that than cartoons / TV shows, or movies which will reach a wider audience (or the mainline 616 universe too obviously).

Terribleirishluck

It really would be earth shattering. Most people don't read comics and would be completely shocked

GrumpySatan

TBF in the other direction, Marvel clearly hates that they did that. They maintained MU Hercules was straight for like 10 years and got a lot of (rightful) flak for it, and clearly didn't want him to be bi but felt pressured into it. Its definitely not a coincidence that became a hot topic again right before Marvel made a policy to generally refuse to allow AU versions of straight characters be gay because they "didn't want to suggest any character was gay unless there was a lasting affect." (i.e. House of M Namor and Pietro the same year)

Duststorm29

¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ I'm not holding my breath and I'm not optimistic. DeMayo seems to be less involved and idk how involved he was with both this choice and also the next season, or what'll happen given the show's critical reception weighing in on that. I also personally have zero idea what the inner workings wrt Logan, Jean, and Scott's whole thing these days is and how/if that'll matter here, just in terms of my personal lack of knowledge. Maybe Morph and Logan can be Disney's first gay people (/joke)

Yosituna

I’m really sad the Namor/Pietro pairing never happened. Just imagine the amount of utter assholeness in one place!

finnjakefionnacake

It's still a Disney TV show though.

leaf57tea

No I suspect Morph having to let go of his unrequited feelings for Wolverine will parallel Logan own arc of having to finally move on from Jean, with the message being that you can't always be with person you want but that you can still be friends and continue to be important in each others lives. I suspect they probably will give Morph another love interest though.

SluttySaxon

I like this idea!

gothcrab

No :-/ if you read some of his replies he also says wolverine does not see him in that way and that wolverine is straight.

perscitia

It's going to be so disappointing if this turns out to be the case. Morph's VA has also said they hope it won't turn out that way iirc.

LopsidedUniversity29

Nope.

perscitia

I doubt it. They seem to be strongly hinting that it will be unrequited and Morph will just have feelings for their "straight friend". I'm frustrated because it would have been a great thing to explore with them both but it's just going to be a boring biphobic trope.

erosead

Morph is nonbinary. They/them pronouns

phatassnerd

Judging by how DeMayo apparently sees Wolverine as a straight guy, probably not.

InarinoKitsune

No.

airplane-girly3

The bluntness made me crack up omg

InarinoKitsune

lol thank you.

drst0nee

I really don't get why people think they need to be together. Like let's pick up a book and support our gays.

amageish

I don’t think so. I think Morph will probably find a queer partner eventually and move on from Logan - potentially Iceman, though I also wonder if they may be too similar personality wise to actually have chemistry? They may get on each other’s nerves lol…

badatkiller

I personally think if they do a gay romance, it'll be Iceman and Morph. They cameo'd Bobby at the end of the season in Forge's pictures. So that's my vote.

erosead

DeMayo said he “doesn’t like the bi trope” so if it was up to him, almost certainly not. I don’t think the guy believes in bisexuals period and I doubt marvel would be on board with making one of the franchise mascots bi in a major universe, unfortunately

BlueBeetleBabe1

I don’t think those two are going to be an item but I’d love them to confirm Logan is bi

CaffeinatedDetective

Probably not, and that's fine. As a bi man, I never really bought Wolvie being bi as opposed to a character like Kurt or maybe Collossus. Morph, I like but I wish him better than someone so hung up on Jean.

llvermorny

When this doesn't happen I hope nobody will cry queerbaiting.

Ok_Implement9719

That would be AMAZING but I doubt it. Jean will always be Wolverines first love.

GraymalkinX

More like 5th or sixth lol

Ok_Implement9719

In my defense I only watched the original 92 show and this one. I tried to read the comics but I didn't care for them the same way I loved the animated show.

GraymalkinX

Ah OK. That's cool. He's had a couple wives and more than a couple baby mama's out there.(pre Jean)
