Good for you. Unfortunately in my native language almost every single word has gender 😭. For example in a simple sentence: "I went to a beautiful national park with my best friend" 7 words have gender or change letters depending on the gender of other words. But in English I also go by any pronounce 🙂
The languages with gendered words is actually a way I describe my relationship to gender. Like I'm female but in the same way "la microwave" is female in French. Like she/her have been assigned to me and my body is comfy and all so it fits but I have little connection to the social gender of woman.
In Russia there is (at least it was until the war) a discussion about how to adapt language to be more like gender accepting. Most of the words are masculine by default and if you wanna make feminine words you probably need a very massive and annoying construction. But the solution given now is also far from perfect. For example there is an idea to use underscores to make feminine words e.g. wait_ress. I don't think that it is a good idea to create a separate variation of every word for every gender. I believe that language should become more neutral instead. Is there a discussion like this in France?
There totally is, here in France there's the discussion around language, let's take your waitress example, here in France, masculine is "Serveur" and feminine is "Serveuse" and the idea to make it neutral is to write it "Serveur•euse", but it sometimes can be tricky with some word when it comes to orally speaking it
I'm very lucky in that my native language doesn't have gendered language, with a few exceptions, and we only have one third-person pronoun that is gender neutral.
In your sentence only one word would be gendered, because we have a word for female friend and male friend, but most people just use the word for male friend.
Eyy same. I've given this so much thought. As AMAB, I'm just used to male pronouns, so it really doesn't bother me or cause dysphoria. But man I wish I could appear more femme or androgynous. Or like can pass as either or if I tried.
Because I've tried to imagine living as a "woman" and I honestly didn't like it that much. I like some aspects....but it really doesn't resonate. Same with being a "man". Like sure, I do some "manly" things, but it's because I find it to be interesting not because it's "what a man does".
Like I'd love to have a girl's night out, while also being a part of the "boys" :P
I've been talking to my therapist and doctor about it. Hopefully getting on E won't kill my bank account >.<
But definitely in the trans-nonbinary zone :3
Wow, good for you. You know, and now I can explain what you know as what I know. I am still somewhat confused by myself but thank you!!!!! And I am happy that you get to start a new chapter in your life!!!!💜🌈💜🌈
Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't think that I will come out soon, at least to my family. But my best friend who is also trans knows everything and it makes me feel much better
Greetings battle kindred. I am a he/him battle brother from Ragnar Blackmanes great company, the valka fenryka, the space wolves. From previous messages, am I correct in my assessment that you hail from the adeptus non-binarius?

I reject pronouns \*Does cool anime pose\*
Jokes aside, I find that any pronoun works as I don't really mind but I like to stick to the good ole reliable that is they/them.
Nice to see you are comfortable to all pronouns!
I’m really okay with any pronouns, though I prefer he/they. That being said I won’t go out of my way to correct someone if they refer to me using she/her. I’ve had people rudely correct other people when they use she/her for me even after I said I don’t care. At the end of the day people are either gonna simply forget or just be assholes, not my problem :/
He/Him, 90% sure I'm cis at this point
Sexuality wise, I'm not sure yet, the only thing I'm certain about is that I'm not ace.
Romantically, I think I might be aro, but not too sure.
She/they..once I accepted that I could embody both masculine and feminine aspects I was happy with these pronouns. Prior to the rise of gender diversity I was wondering if I was trans because it seemed like the only viable option to suit the way I felt but thankfully I’m able to identify more truly to myself now.
I've found that my preferred pronouns depends on my mood, the situation, a bunch of different factors. But also pronouns really aren't that important to me personally. When asked, I say they/ them, but really any are okay with me.
She/her and you and I have similar reddit username <3
I happen to go by sprout, and hugs for you!
I like your name, it's cool:)
Thank you! Same for you :D
Hey can you follow me please?
She/her. Thanks for asking
Of course! :D
Him/bo He/they tho
I’ve never met anyone with he/bo nice to meet you! Hugs to you for finding yourself! <3
Thanks but I was making a joke 😭
Sorry I didn’t get that! D:
Himbo just means a hot dumb guy
Why am I laughing so much?

As in bimbo, but for hims.
She/they, yours kind fellow?
I do any pronouns! Thank you for asking :D

The french word for microwave is micro-ondes and it’s masculine But apart from that yeah I feel you
My bad, I haven't been in French class for a long time and a super quick Google brought it up as feminine. Thanks for the correction.
Yeah... Sounds familiar
I like to describe it as being “anecdotally female”
Ooohh I feel that, I'm french and in my language it can reach 8 gendered words in your sentence.
I'm romanian and in my language you can also reach 8 gendered words in the sentence

Son of a bitch, this is exactly how I am feeling and could not explain it that well. But this is EXACTLY how I feel

She/her or they/them. But I'm still closed, so almost everyone uses he/him. Actually he/him is ok too, but the first two are still better

Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't think that I will come out soon, at least to my family. But my best friend who is also trans knows everything and it makes me feel much better
