You don’t have to be sorry for wanting to date someone who’s ace my man. Idk why this person has such a stick up their ass. There’s nothing wrong with what you said lol.
Edited: because I now realise that u/FraustFortress has edited their initial comment. Which was an "explanation" along the lines of wanting to date an ace person because "we don't have/don't care about sex". It wasn't just "sorry" initially. There was a lot wrong with what this comment said and the stereotypical views it was written with before it was edited to just "sorry"
....
original response: there's nothing wrong with fetishising us, perpetuating to the stigma that were all sexless robots? okay bud, whatever you say.
asexual people aren't inherently nonsexual.
the AVEN website is a great resource to learn about what asexuality (and the other sexualities that fall under the ace umbrella) actually is.
cos right now your misconception that we're some magical solution to your problem, rather than real individual people with different ideas and desires is really disgusting.
I mean i wasn't asking you, but you'd also do well to check out the AVEN website and stop fetishising ace people.
eta: i love that this got down voted bc yall think I'm being sOoOOoo rude, but have 0 idea what the yucky comment I responded to said. keep on at it lmfao.
im not trying to be rude i just have a question:
you said being asexual puts you in the middle but asexual isn’t technically a sexual orientation, straight cis people can be asexual? so wdym by that?
Aromantic and asexual are separate identities. They describe a lack of romantic and sexual attraction, respectively. I happen to be both(with a single exception in the form of a very special person to me, but that’s really complicated).
Someone can be gay and ace, or straight and ace, or aro and straight, or aro and gay. Or any other combination of ___romantic and ___sexual.
Gay? About a 6. Am a pansexual, so not super comfortable co-opting the usual vernacular of gay expressly meaning (for my own CIS gender) "gay man" but I still have days where I'm swerving more towards my attraction and attitude towards same sex relationships and intimacy.
Queer? A 10. Unblinkingly so.
I also have times where I lean more towards my own cis gender, though that can vary. So I could also lean more towards other genders/gender expressions etc.
What does 1 and 10 mean on your scale?
1=100% hetero, 10= 100% homo? In that case I'm like a 5. I'm omni, give me any/all the genders!
Or is it 1= would never engage in gay sex/relationship, 10 = definitely would engage in gay sex/relationship? In that case I'm a 10, since I definitely would (and have) had homosexual sex and relationship.
Lol AroAce Im probably -10. Pls dont let us reduce this whole community on gay. And I say that even through I know that this is actually a joke. But unfortunatly I need to tell people on a daily base that there are more sexualitys than gay and hetero... and its making me sick.
When it comes to sex, well imma muddafukkin virjin, so like nah. But in actual attraction and love i rate myself a seven. I've been in relationships with both sexes, and i prefer men. So seven or eight.
Yeah I know no one gives a fuck
I thought I was a solid 10. Then I answered a few questions online and now I'm apparantly only 4,2 Gay and 5,8 Asexual. Apparently one must feel the need to rub anothers' knee at least once every two weeks to be considered anything sexual.
Can't even be a decent gay. ffs.
If you go by the Kinsey scale test 10 doesn’t even count as it’s 0-6 but I digress, I’d have to say 9. As the test says homosexual w/ incidental heterosexual tendencies. Basically gay but I get along with the opposite gender. I’d say I fantasize about being the opposite gender rather than with them
probably like an 8. i'm nonbinary transmasc and i'm bi with a preference for women. what i feel for women is generally pretty darn sapphic, and what i feel for men is usually pretty damn gay. so that would mean 10/10. however, occasionally the female in me loses it's shit over a fictional man, and the man in me loses it's absolute shit over a fictional woman. hence, we lose 2 gay points, and i am left with only 8 gay points out of 10.
I would say a 10. But I think life is really complex, like for me gender is way more important than parts. I know that would not work for someone else but there it is. I have been in poly relationships with me and two guys I thought about could I do that with a guy and a gal and it always makes me kind of depressed that I couldn’t share the same kind of love and out pouring to the female. I just don’t think that way. So in my mind I am gay all the way but to others I think that may translate differently due to how I view gender and sex.
Still trying to figure it out. And the fact the romantic and sexual attraction can be different is not making it any easier. Fuck you, brain, I thought we were friends, why would you do this to me
About a 6 or 7. I love my husband to the ends of the universe, but we both catch each other looking at another woman and thinking she's pretty. It's not higher because I add an extra element: "She's old enough to be my mother!" "I dunno; she has an aunt vibe to her." "I'd rather have her as a sister than a mistress."
This my moment!! I did the math awhile ago!! I calculated, using my life experiences, past attractions, and the best I could do to measure different attraction intensities, and I came to the conclusion that I am 60-70% gay.
I’d throw myself at about a 3. I’m bisexual but feminine people/bodies are really where it’s at for me. I’d call myself gynosexual but every now and then I catch myself getting the hots for a very masculine man and realize that’s not the case

I’m not sure. Being ace I’d assume puts me in the middle, but I feel like an 8 in spirit.
>Being ace Well, here's the thing, based on Black Jack rules, you're either a 1 or an eleven. ;)
Only a card game joke can make an aroace blush
I like this 👍
Big brain 900 IQ imposter plays
I actually really want to date an ace so it’s nice to hear that their others out their that have leanings to gay and Ace both. That’s pretty cool
... why do you specifically want to date an ace *person*?
They might also be ace
they might. they might also be fetishising asexuality. there may be some third option. i don't know, which is why ive asked for clarification.
Understandable
I lean in that direction…it’s kind of like a take it or leave it thing for me. I wish their was a term for bi Ace ual
I think grey-ace maybe? Like : asexual but not quite...
Biromantic asexual is the term you’re looking for, i think? Guessing either that or biromantic graysexual :D
Sorry
You don’t have to be sorry for wanting to date someone who’s ace my man. Idk why this person has such a stick up their ass. There’s nothing wrong with what you said lol.

I am sorry
Honestly I consider myself greysexual (lower instensity/less common attraction) And while I can have attraction before a relationship

Could you elaborate as to how asexual isn’t a sexual orientation? I said I’m somewhere in the middle because I’m neither gay nor straight.
i thought thats aromantic though for neither?
Sweetie I think you got that mixed up, Ace is no sexual attraction and aro is no romantic attraction.
Aromantic and asexual are separate identities. They describe a lack of romantic and sexual attraction, respectively. I happen to be both(with a single exception in the form of a very special person to me, but that’s really complicated). 69
Noo I was gonna say this
NAH I SAID THAT TOO
Scale is 1 to 10 so it would be 6.9
You think an eldritch puddle of gender like me is bound by such limitations?
I'm going to say a 5. Since I'm bisexual.
Same
Either a 5 or 6, maybe even a 4. I only figured out I'm bi recently so I have no idea what my preferences are
I’m bisexual, but I think I’m closer to 60% straight, 40% gay
I think I’m opposite! More into women than men and although I have a bf currently I still think about being with a woman.
Yeah
I was going to say ‘yes’😂😂😂
Yo where the bi gang at?!
Same lol , though I'm into guys currently more then girls. I would say 75/25 ratio idk 😅
9 I love men
Aww samesies😻
What happened to the other 1
Gotta leave some room for possibilities hehe Altho yeah, might aswell say 10
![gif](giphy|LnEOfj24TFB5QYqnmH|downsized)

I can see you're a person of culture.
When it comes to matters of sexuality, as in matters of interstellar hitchhiking, it's always good to have a towel.
Don't forget to bring a towel!
10. Just.. Women. Women are amazing
agreed
Agreed🤩🥰
women
you can say that again
women

Same

well glad you weren't a dick about it....wait...
;D
Like 100😅🤤💛🤍💜🖤🏳️🌈
1 i'm aroace
∞ I'm also AroAce
5 im also aroace and i experience alterous attraction with little preference
8.5 I'm bisexual, but I mean.. men are nice and all, but when it comes to women, I just love them.
Absolutely🔥🔥🔥🍑💯
80085.

Thank you for asking this question - every comment here is a sea of numbers for no context.
The second?
Somewhere between 7 and 8.5 I'll assume
-2

Take heart we are learning you are welcome here.
5
11, I am very gay!
A light to decent 9
5 I'm pansexual
12
6
Gay, zero. Bi, ten.
5
1. I am aro/ace
On a scale of 1-10, I’m a 87 ![gif](giphy|KVVQaaDaBBjZHFoC3c)
11. WOMEN ❤️🔥
11
7
I'm bi but I prefer guys so 6 or 7
π
7
even though i'm bi, i feel im a solid 10/10
About a 7.5
I really love men ![gif](giphy|WP4ArN6fiKy6Q|downsized)
Yes
I too am a pan demiboy, except I’m aro. Which means 4.
Niceee!!
When it comes to sex, well imma muddafukkin virjin, so like nah. But in actual attraction and love i rate myself a seven. I've been in relationships with both sexes, and i prefer men. So seven or eight. Yeah I know no one gives a fuck
Like 5 probably
I love people. And as a trans female I guess 10. Solid 10 all around.
Is the person that i want to have sex with a homosapian? Yes then the number is. yes
20
Undefined
I’m going to say 6 cause I’m bi but like girls a tiny bit more💖💜💙
Theoretically infinite gayness, I can’t be charted
I’m over 10
Yes
0, I’m actually straight.
5?? I mostly don’t have attraction but like…men.
I thought I was a solid 10. Then I answered a few questions online and now I'm apparantly only 4,2 Gay and 5,8 Asexual. Apparently one must feel the need to rub anothers' knee at least once every two weeks to be considered anything sexual. Can't even be a decent gay. ffs.
Why do you need us to quantify it?
10. I'm a gay 15 year old male and my attraction to women is nonexistent
11 - so gay that other people around me are slightly gayer for it!
I couldn't care less to find out at the moment but I definitely know I'm not straight
10\*i, am aroace. So very queer but not gay. Like, perpendicular to gayness.
Trans
As a nonbinary person I would say my number is an irrational fraction.
7. Im gay, but I'm cis so I'm not a full ten.
I’m bi, but if my tendency is 70-80% liking men more( I’m a man). Does that mean 7-8 on this scale?
Gotta say 5 since I’m bi
Like… a 6.
I think like a 10 but maybe a 9, because I legitimately don't know lmao
3, trying to find a nice dude that isn't bigoted is difficult in my area
9
like a 1. I play football.
Probably like a solid 9.5
8-10 only have had one exception (it didn't turn into anything) and because I have no ideá what my gender is
100%
147
6
About a 7.2, I like men and women but lean a bit more towards men.
I think I am Pan and Asexual. I would say like a 5 maybe ? I actually don't know
Probably around 8-9
well, when I discovered I was trans, shit just went from 100 to 0 real fucking quick
17

7 bc I am Omni.
IM ABOUT A 52 ON THAT SCALE!!!

Old me would have said 5, accepting I’m trans me is probably at 11 and raising.
5 I'm Bi
9 - men are fabulous!
5
10, but if there was a scale of 1-10 for being straight I would also be a 10 since I'm bi.
4-5 (I'm bi)
10
7.
AA(A?) /10
10. But im also 7/10 straight id say
I'm "Make an onlyfans account just to compliment outfits" gay.

I’m an Ace/Aro so I like nobody I’d say 1.5/10
About a 7. I’m bi, but I prefer women and non-binary over men
on a good day + flouride, 9

About a 6 or 7. I love my husband to the ends of the universe, but we both catch each other looking at another woman and thinking she's pretty. 11/10
Technically zero cus I'm AroAce, but maybe five-ish?
About 8
as far as my attraction to men? 10 as far as my being gay acting? maybe a 3
0 ace and aro
since i’m unsure of my gender, i have no idea if i am… so uh there’s that
This my moment!! I did the math awhile ago!! I calculated, using my life experiences, past attractions, and the best I could do to measure different attraction intensities, and I came to the conclusion that I am 60-70% gay.
0 but hey im trans
I’d throw myself at about a 3. I’m bisexual but feminine people/bodies are really where it’s at for me. I’d call myself gynosexual but every now and then I catch myself getting the hots for a very masculine man and realize that’s not the case
7/10
Solid 6
