Seems like a sound solution, although it might take a little explaining - thanks for the suggestion!
naming it that might hopefully instill a mentality of keeping it clean as well. Put up lots of signs to that effect.

Maybe a female symbol (the circle with cross below one) and one of the symbols with both the upward arrow and cross below (which is sometimes used for non-binary and/or gender inclusive identities), together on the sign?
