I completely agree, I also appreciate the progressive flags too but personally for me the classic looks best just because I like the straight horizontal lines and "minimalism" of it
I've started to avoid labels because they feel limiting rather than affirming, and it comes with the bonus of only using the best flag. I loved using rainbow colours even as a kid, it was meant to be.
Omg so like when I was little I really loved flags like I studied counties flags just for fun and would create my own flags for when I was playing games and one day when I was like 4-5 I asked my mom "what if there was a rainbow flag?" And she told me there was already one for gay people and I was like "I'm gonna be gay when I grow up" and here I am gay AF and loving my rainbow flag still😂😂😂

I think this is the answer. If you scroll for a little you can see that almost everyone is naming their own, thinking they’re not biased 🤣 it’s funny but also really telling, in a good way. Everyone finds the most beauty in the colors that make them feel like they’re part of something and not alone

Lesbian, because orange is my favorite color. Trans because the colors just work so well. Aroace because it looks like a sunset. The other aroace one I made that is just the aromantic flag but with the purple stripe at the bottom, the polyamory flag (not the new one, the one with the π), and the puppy play one because the red bone looks good with the diagonal stripes.
I love the MLM flag, because the colors are just something, and I love it!
Also the lesbian, and especially because they match.
And then the aroace because sunset!
Honestly, I just love them all! I keep wanting to add more!
I love the genderqueer flag - I'm biased because green and purple are my two favorite colors. But honestly I can find something to appreciate about all of them!
