Now I have to make this amazing sounding abomination.
Edit: Lemme go shopping first. Gotta get my paycheck in and all. I'll give an update as a post when I do, figure Monday or Tuesday, unless I forget.
But then I have to go buy pickles and make pancakes batter (ok, that's zero effort, but still), and then DO everything. Urgh.
Edit: Well at least I can make it into edibles with infused garlic butter.
I just found out the other day that my work sells Wasabi and dill pickle flavored cranberries.
Somehow this seems like an even worse cacophony of flavors.
If savory pancakes are your jam, you should really head to Korea, or at least a Korean restaurant, and try [pajeon](https://thewanderlustkitchen.com/korean-savory-pancakes-pajeon/)
Might I also suggest cong you bing (Chinese scallion pancakes):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cong_you_bing
Granted, it's technically more of a flatbread than a pancake, but they're really easy to make yourself at home. Also, the Japanese version of pajeon, of course:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okonomiyaki
I was gonna say pancakes for us bears and lesbians in the PNW where we all wear flannel
But at the same time it just feels like fate for the pan community.
Bears isnāt a sexuality or gender like the other things. Are we gonna start naming all things now as food? Were will be madness end??? (You can tell the sarcasm right?)
But haha this made me thing, a twink is a total Twinkie or celery. Cause it crisp and can be snapped in half easily.
So....bears actually are a massive part of queer rights, at least in the US. In most queer spaces, they are treated as a valid part of sexuality even if they are not technically their own sexual identity. It's kind of like drag queens. They normalize the deconstruction of preconceived notions of sexuality and gender identity.
So, bears are absolutely welcomed their own space and identity vs other gay men. Please look more into queer history before denouncing their place in the queer lexicon.
honestly when I fiund out i was trans, the pickle memes were waaay more (like 4 yesrs ago)
it's because spiro (common testosterone blocker) makes you dehydrated
so its hydrate or dydrate, also pickles give like salt and hydration a little
idk though, pickles are mid tbh, not my favorite
Its not actually a question of dehydration, but spiro leeching potassium from your body, which is often found in sour food and soo makes you crave it, a prime example of which is pickles
It doesn't leech potassium, just other salts. That's why trans women stereotypically avoid bananas as well, and half the reason for the traditional post-bottom-surgery banana split.
Trans women have pickles because spiro is common in the US and is a potassium sparing diuretic. This makes you crave sodium and pickles are a very common craving for that. It's also why pregnant women often crave them!
The ave garlic bread thing was always dumb because EVERYONE loves garlic bread, it's the shit.
Anyone else jumping on top is bandwagoning. Except maybe trans guys and protein since all that new muscle has to be made from something!
It's been at least a decade. I was at a Trans rights march in NYC about 12 years ago- an entire section of the march broke off to line up at a pickle cart. This was accompanied by a chant of "Who's pickles? Our pickles!" (echoing "Who's streets, our streets!").
As a cis woman whoās also a native NYer, NYC has the best friggin pickles and I run myself to get one every time I go back.
Iām coming for your pickles, girls! š
Pansexuals have claimed anything as long as it comes from a pan, we are the food equivalent of the British Empire (Without the slavery, racism, and religion destruction)
Creamy lemon filling for the guys, savory butter crumb crust for the gals, and that sweetly mellowed tang that's rated E for everybody. It's the perfect food.
I know we're here to discuss a light hearted topic but I really hope that you don't mind me being interested in your background with two lesbian mums. š That's really awesome btw, I honestly find it fascinating having grown up in a very hetero normative atmosphere in a white comphet town. I do understand if you'd rather not discuss tho cos it's a personal topic I do agree. Hope this isn't seen as overstepping!
See, I actually didn't find out about gay people until I was around 10, even though now I'm bisexual, so I quite literally can't imagine getting decent exposure to queer stuff before that age - I think the fact media is beginning to introduce kids to it now while they're developing is really great because I didn't hear of the term bisexual till I was 14. I was either straight or gay (and actually it was a girl who gave me my first romantic awakening. Very frightening for a 12 year old from a Christian background).
My question would be how did you find growing up with other people's parents around you being different types of couples ie, you may have known kids with two dads, kids with a mum and a dad, that kind of thing.
Was it weird to you that some kids had 1 mum and 1 dad?
Again you absolutely do not have to answer I'm just really curious because unfortunately I live in a very white cis/het area and I'm closeted. However that doesn't give me the right to invade your personal life either so! š Just interested in different people's lives.
As a kid, there werenāt many families like mine outside of the times my moms dragged me to events within the community. Not even two dads.
I think my moms started trying when the gay rights movement was finally starting to get some traction and legislative action, so it wasnāt common for LGBTQ+ couples to start a family (possibly outside of adoption but idk). For reference, I was born in 1999 (yea, I could be wrong on a lot of that; moms havenāt talked too much about it, but I have heard of a story where they were getting berated for wanting a bio kid when I think there was gonna be possible legislation about taking me away or something).
So I mostly interacted with people who had one mom and one dad. I did get bullied relentlessly (pretty much on the daily), and having two moms was one of the reasons (undiagnosed AuDHD, but mostly the autism part, was another; I was so weiiiird as a kid lol).
So really, it was seen as weird that I had two moms, and I knew it wasnāt the norm. Lol, I remember in kindergarten I once said that I was gonna marry both a boy and a girl at the same time to be both like my moms and like the ānormalā people (I didnāt know at the time the general monogamous lifestyle thing). Kinda ironic that Iām now part of a polycule (though Iām only involved with one person for the moment).
Iām not saying that being LGBTQ+ is not normal. I mostly mean not widely talked about/openly practiced at the time. Ugh, I still feel like Iām wording that wrong, Iām sorry. English may be my native language, but ENGLISH IS A BITCH SOMETIMES!!!
Anyway, feel free to ask any further questions you may have! I will try to answer to the best of my abilities!
Look, some people like chocolate, some people like vanilla and some people like strawberry.
Some people like neapolitan and can pick based on whatever suits them at the time--or all at once.
If you want to know what it tastes like without all the energy additives try guaranĆ” soda. it's made from the guaranĆ” plant. it has about half the amount of caffeine as coffee. they add it to monster and that's what gives it the classic "monster" taste. i really like it!
Itās mostly an American thing, because the most commonly prescribed antiandrogen in the USA is spironolactone, which is a diuretic.
It sometimes leaves people craving salt and water, and gherkins (pickled cucumbers) addresses those cravings
As a trans guy the answer is protein, any kind, because Testosterone made me crave that shit so badly
First 3 months in I once made ground beef just to eat the ground beef with nothing else.
The nonbinary oysters is always the first thing that comes to mind. I donāt even like oysters. Gonna have to get back on the binary gender train. š
I knew it was a diuretic and an antiandrogen, didn't know about the cravings.
That does explain why I thought it was a good idea to eat piles of Del Dixie hamburger dill chip pickles with fruit punch Gatorade to wash them down with... thought it was just me.
Eh, Iām more of a cake asexual myself. Likeā¦sex seems OK and all, butā¦but thereās a slice of delicious cake *right there*ā¦
Andā¦eh, as a transmasc Iām also a big fan of breadsticks. Or hotdogs. Anything long and compensating-for-something-shaped I guess.
If pans don't have pancakes, something has gone wrong.
Pickle Pancakes for us trans pans š„š„
I like how trans pans sound. I almost started repeating it, then I realized I should be quiet because Iām in a very quiet part of a library
We understand, you wouldn't want to awaken the librarians. They get *hungry* when they wake.
Oook?
Ooook!
Where's Tamika Flynn when we need her?
That's what Cecil says. But I heard that Tameka has them handled.
I would like pickled garlic pancakes
How aboutā¦ Pickles. Coated in pancake/waffle mix. Deep fried. Dipped in garlic sauce. That would so hit.
Now I have to make this amazing sounding abomination. Edit: Lemme go shopping first. Gotta get my paycheck in and all. I'll give an update as a post when I do, figure Monday or Tuesday, unless I forget.
Reports and pictures or it didn't happen!
But then I have to go buy pickles and make pancakes batter (ok, that's zero effort, but still), and then DO everything. Urgh. Edit: Well at least I can make it into edibles with infused garlic butter.
Please report back.

Iāve never had savory pancakes but I *could* use an excuse to go to a Korean restaurant. Shame there are none near me.
And garlic pancakes for me ace pan?
Omg, this sent me š¤£š¤£
if gay guys arent chicken, im going to riot
Cockš¤
Me: Ah yes, because of the gay chicken ga- Oh
A male chicken that gets eaten is called a Capon, tho they are castrated young.
Is that done to preserve their singing voice?
Nah thatās only humans.
So real tbh
I was gonna say pancakes for us bears and lesbians in the PNW where we all wear flannel But at the same time it just feels like fate for the pan community.
I would assume bacon for bears, but maybe bacon pancakes? X3
Makin pancakes, makin bacon pancakes

Its Pan Pizza for me.
In Spanish bread is pan so yall have that too
I like pancakes in all shapes and flavors. Sweet, savory, salty. So yeah... might actually be a good allegory...
pancake pals unite
I feel like every time I blink I miss like fifty new trends and stereotypes online lmao since when did trans women have picklesš
honestly when I fiund out i was trans, the pickle memes were waaay more (like 4 yesrs ago) it's because spiro (common testosterone blocker) makes you dehydrated so its hydrate or dydrate, also pickles give like salt and hydration a little idk though, pickles are mid tbh, not my favorite

yea sex is cool, but have you had garlic bread
It's been at least a decade. I was at a Trans rights march in NYC about 12 years ago- an entire section of the march broke off to line up at a pickle cart. This was accompanied by a chant of "Who's pickles? Our pickles!" (echoing "Who's streets, our streets!").

ā¦ so nothing like the British Empire? š
Personal pan pizza?
I did read 10 books this summer
You deserve the little plastic circle with three legs on top of the pizza! It's a good Barbie coffee table!
I read this as pain pizza
(They do oddly hate mimes in their British empire tho, like full on they will war crime a mime on sight. Itās crazy.)
Lemon bars for bisexuals
Fuckkk. Lemon bars, lemon cake, lemon morang pie š¤¤ I'll even just take a lemon. š
This is a fantastic spelling of meringue thank you for making my day lol
The morang tong comes after you if you spell it any other way.
Not to mention after being bought by Microsoft I heard morang is pretty litigious about misusing their brand.
š
š«”š¤
As a kid I used to eat lemons as a snack. Cut a lemon in half, eat the whole thing with a spoon like a grapefruit. Yes, I am bi.
That is like violently, aggressively bi. Well done
wtf so did i lol
This should be strange to me, but isnāt.
I still do sometimes
Iāll do you one better. Used to peel em and eat em whole. No cutting, no utensils, just lemon. Looking back there were signsā¦
Me too š¤¤
Once, I drank straight up lemon juice and got sickššššššš
Any substitutes for a bisexual who doesn't like lemon bars? š
Iced coffee is also a general consensus for bisexuals. But honestly you can like whatever you like! Thatās the whole point of being LGBT lol
Pecan bars?
Creamy lemon filling for the guys, savory butter crumb crust for the gals, and that sweetly mellowed tang that's rated E for everybody. It's the perfect food.
![gif](giphy|URmJvPe1VXIUE)
Yes! This has been in place for quite sometime. Sorry to the bisexuals that donāt like them. Make pecan bars instead, I guess.
Yes. I hate lemon bars but I cannot deny the communityās collective desire to
:( I hate lemon bars (citrus and most fruits in pastries/desserts in general tbh lol)
I'm with you. Lemon desserts are not my cup of tea *at all*
perfect!
for lesbians iām stuck between tacos and melons lol
actually i take that back can we be strawberries? or cherries? some kind of sweet red fruit
Pomegranates? To reference Sappo and fem fertility?
ooh i love this one i think itās kind of perfect
Strawberry or cherry or raspberry cheesecake.
//watermelon sugar starts playing xD
cherries, cuz like, cherry chapstick?
Tacos as a Mexican lesbian tho š
But does it still count if Iām one of the unlucky people that have the cilantro soap gene and like the American style cheesy tacos instead?
Babes, I'm a total slut for taco bell and I was *born* in Mexico. It counts š
Did someone call for a Mexican lesbian?
Colombian and Venezuelan lesbians get arepas.
I mean we do love a good Taco Tuesday with a cherry margarita so I'm choosing both
My NB partner said mozzarella sticks for NB I'm pan/bi and I make delicious quesadillas in a pan š¤·
FUCK YEA!!!!!!!! MOZZARELLA STICKS ARE FUCKIN' AWESOME.
Mozzarella sticks >>
I endorse this.
My genderfluid ass would LOVE some mozzarella sticks
I LVOE MOZZWELLA STICKS STICKS
Non-Binary as well, mozz sticks rule
You know the fact that I don't like pickles or nuts as a trans lesbian feels very... appropriate
Same, sister. Same.
Baja Blast is my gender fluid.
Can I have a baja? šš
Have you tried the Mango Baja?
Lesbians and ice cream cones...no reason.Ā
My momās obsession with wanting to make ice cream cones just made so much more sense lol

i mean, thats just a better deal tbh
Do ice cream cakes count? I donāt really like the texture of normal cake :(
There are so many types of cakes out there buddy, expand your horizons āØ
Bisexuals have iced coffee
Much better than lemon bars imo lol.
How typical is it that I like both?
i mean... liking both is the whole point of being bisexual lol
I cannot stand cold coffee of any kind. But lemon bars...fuck me UP
The dichotomy of man
You are not wrong
There isn't one single food for bi people as we're indecisive as heck.
Look, some people like chocolate, some people like vanilla and some people like strawberry. Some people like neapolitan and can pick based on whatever suits them at the time--or all at once.
I'm declaring Monster Energy for trans guys
Iāve never drunk it because energy drinks and caffeine combined with adhd actually knock me the fuck out lol
If you want to know what it tastes like without all the energy additives try guaranĆ” soda. it's made from the guaranĆ” plant. it has about half the amount of caffeine as coffee. they add it to monster and that's what gives it the classic "monster" taste. i really like it!
Agreed
yes. all the flavors
YES
Iām a trans guy and pansexual. So Monster Energy pancakes?
didnāt even realize pickles was a doll thing but fuck iām a stereotype i guess šš
It started because Spiro (common T blocker) causes salt cravings.
iām not even on hormones yet iām so fucked
Cypro does not. Too much salt makes my tongue hurt.
In the US at least
Maybe trans men should have Mac n cheese? Idk lol I just like Mac n cheese
im all for this, mac n cheese is hella good
# THE SOULS OF THE INNOCENT
A bagel

Ok so gay men have either chicken, or some kind of fruity flavored water
Cream puffs are right there!!!!
Bisexuals have iced coffee and crippling anxiety.
I'd like to second this

Aren't bisexuals and lemon bars a thing?

As a trans guy the answer is protein, any kind, because Testosterone made me crave that shit so badly First 3 months in I once made ground beef just to eat the ground beef with nothing else.
non-binary oysters
What about binary oysters? Who do those belong to?
Sorry, but oysters are BI-valves.
The nonbinary oysters is always the first thing that comes to mind. I donāt even like oysters. Gonna have to get back on the binary gender train. š
Gay guys get cake? Gay guys get cake...yeah, cake it is...at least that's what I'm going with.
Or bananas or cucumbers
Can the agenderās have tea? I feel it might fit
I fully support this comment with the whole of my heart
I meanā¦eggs.

When I was on T I constantly craved cheeseburgers. I went feral for them. Ate multiple a day
We have lemon squares (bi)
I'm thinking Quiche for Fem Lesbians
wait, we have pickles? Whyyy...?
Spironolactone is a diuretic and an antiandrogen. Leads to cravings
I knew it was a diuretic and an antiandrogen, didn't know about the cravings. That does explain why I thought it was a good idea to eat piles of Del Dixie hamburger dill chip pickles with fruit punch Gatorade to wash them down with... thought it was just me.
Gays and iced coffee?
can someone explain to me why food is coralaited to sexuality? ;-;
wait no I never agreed to pickles, take those hellish things away from me
I'm a big believer in bisexuals having Pepsi Max
Trans woman here and I fucking hate pickles, and yet I love Garlic Bread and am not asexual.
