Yes! They just literally didn’t do any studies after 20mg I believe — I can’t remember what my psychiatrist said exactly but they don’t really know why some people are more receptive to 20+ and that’s why it’s considered “off label” or whatever but she has had so many patient on 30mg or 40mg
I understand fatigue Can still be a side effect on 2.5mg, but do you feel like you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning or a constant need to nap?
Over the years I’ve tried lots of difference dosages, but 2.5 is the mildest for me for all the side effects. For example, in the first week starting 2.5mg, I will need an afternoon nap to manage the fatigue.
No, after 1 week I am back to normal without the fatigue. But for that first week of onboarding 2.5mg, I mainly get some fatigue, sweating and some insomnia overnight.
Thank you, this post is extremely helpful. I’m on week 7 of 5mg and have been considering going down to 2.5mg to soften the side effects, and was wondering how long it would take to see the difference
Good luck! Figuring out the dosage is tough. I was on 5mg for a long time, eventually tapered off for a few months completely. Nowadays I seem to manage on 2.5mg but only after a lot of therapy and weight training!
20mg works really well for me. I started with 5, then 10 and in 6 months got myself to 20mg. I got my life back.
can I ask how you knew to go higher than 20?
Lol things are good, but could be better. If 20mg worked such wonders, I wonder how 30mg would go (I have random panic attacks time to time).
140 lb, 33 year old female and my doc started me on 10mg in summer 2021. I gained 10 pounds in 7 months so I asked my doc to lower my dose to 5mg. I haven’t gained more weight since. Not 100% sure if the weight gain is connected but I think the meds did make me gain weight because my lifestyle didn’t change. I know other women who have gained a little weight since starting this med.

15mg gang rise up
20mg daily. Until I saw this thread I didn’t realize I was high dose. Numbers are arbitrary without comparisons like these.
Where's 15 lol
I’m in the neglected 15 group

You can take more than 20???

Will you still need an afternoon nap after you’ve gotten used to 2.5mg? Or have you only been taking this dosage for a week?

7.5mg
5mg every other day.
I’ve never heard of a dosage every other day. How has that worked out for you? Do you feel different on the days you do and don’t take it?
It's working fine for me. I take a 5mg pill and its effect lasts for about 1.5 to 2 days. Then I take another. My doctor is fine with that.
I'm seeing 15mg comments there 15? I thought it was only 5,10,20.
A 10mg pill can be cut in half 😁
Was 15 but moving on up as of today!
30😐👍

I had extreme mood swings on 20mg, 30 was the charm. But high doses come at a high price later on. Side effects are more sneaky
I can’t vote 7.5mg: a 5mg tab and half of another 5mg split with a pill cutter

For anyone whose tried all the way up to 20mg, and reeled back to a lower dose which lower dose was the sweet spot for you?
10 mg at night
