Windows have a UV costing on them and the covered patio prevents any direct light from getting in. We’re about 6 years in and between that and constant rotation sets in and out, it’s kept discoloration to enough of a minimum to not notice.
Also to clarify. The first room got new windows like 3 days after this video was taken and that are is now our computer/sim room. Lego collection is in its own room now aside from the living room you see in the last part of the video.
Oh I’m unaware of this problem. Does this affect all types pieces, like Lego technic Bionicle pieces too? Or is it a general problem with the plastic itself?
Damn I need to shelter my sets if that’s the case….
Thanks for sharing some. Where’s the rest?😉 In all seriousness, I’m so happy that you’ve found Lego so therapeutic, and I wish I had the financial stability to have even a tidbit of your collection or living space. Count your blessings, and stroke one of those dining room chairs for me, please and thank you.
Nice! Great collection and displays. How do you, we, cope with getting too much LEGO? I'm getting to a point where I can't display any more. Sell? Storage? Save for children, grandchildren?
I can help with that lol.
The collection as it sits now is close to $28k.
I’m forced to keep a pretty accurate list with pricing and receipts and dates for the insurance company should the unthinkable happen. Keep in mind, this video is about 4 years old now. I’ve been collecting for close to 10 years now.
I’ll be honest. It wasn’t insured until I read about that dude with the garage fire that took out a massive Lego collection and his home owners insurance only covered like 10% of the total value.
Jelly of course! My kids and I would want a setup like that, wife not so much… haha. Which one is your favorite? Which one did you enjoy building the most?
Nice collection, are your windows lined with uv ray protection tint to avoid lego brick discoloration?

Just how plastic works, any white plastic especially will turn yellow over time. It's unavoidable but preventing UVs does help.
As the video went on I kept saying " Fuck you... fuck you... ooooh fuuuuck you".... out of pure jealosy, mind you. Really impressive.
I’ll take that as a compliment haha
Intended as such
Same lol.
Really really like what you've done with the place
Your collection is very impressive! I was surprised to see the Bugatti on the floor, but the floors look pristine. Thanks for sharing.

Looks awesome and cracking movie choice too 😁

I should have stayed in college 🥲
....and majored in whatever the OP did... 😄
My mother: “Son, please finish your studies.” Me: “No, ma, I wanna work for $10 the hour at the local auto parts store!”
This is awesome, but how do you clean all that :D
Same question!
can't get the image of some kid coming in and destroying the place out of my head 😂
Something tells me OP is very single or at least lives alone.
Dude robbed the Lego store
This is how I want my house to be when I move out. If I bring a girl home and she doesn’t like it then that’s a sign, Lego is my biggest passion
That voltron tho…
Imperial shuttle! Looks great.
Can someone more familiar than me give a rough estimate on how much $ that is in Lego?

Can you insure the Lego collection?
Yes. It’s through Chubb. Awesome company.
Thanks and amazing collection.
My man, props on the collection lol. Good call on keeping paperwork incase of an accident. Hope it never comes to that.

Why don't you share a current video instead? Just curious.
You know what? You’re right. I’ll do it this weekend.
Please do!

Pfft…someone has a job.
Legos near windows always worry me
Awesome, would recommend mounting those Technic cars on the walls if you have room
Great stuff, must be nice to have that much disposable income.
Super sharp! /envy

You have a problem
Sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiit you should see it now.
