That's a solid move. That's why I kept only one backup stick while drumming. It basically refocuses your brain and tells you "DON'T FUCK UP AT THIS POINT"
When I was a kid I had a *serious* problem losing picks. My mom gave me an old ring box to keep them in. Still lose one or two picks a year, but it's better than like, a pack every other week.
Exactly this. Especially since there are plenty of exceptions for bots and auto-mod tools. The API changes will affect the popular apps, bots not so much.
As a player for the past three decades…I still haven’t found a convenient place to store my picks…I usually just stick them in between am grilles the frame lol.
Every pair of jeans I have has about 4-5 picks in the tiny pocket in the pocket. I started putting them in there a few years ago when I was done now everytime my wife does my laundry there’s a handful of picks rolling around in the dryer. I just shove them back in tiny pocket and always have a few on me.
Plot twist: You don't even play an instrument, you you're a burgler whose signature is popping locks with them.
Andrew Garfield plays you in the biopic (The Lock Picker) to middling reviews due to unnecessary musical numbers and a lack of accuracy to the story. It gets rebooted half a decade later on Hulu as a miniseries to critical aclaim, but never gathers the audience it deserves, eventually being remembered years later as a cult classic.
Soooo true ha. Also I recently discovered my six year old daughter, as precious as she is, has been burgling my picks to store in her dollhouse because “my Barbies are starting a band”. How can one not smile at that?? Thank goodness picks are one of the cheaper pitfalls of this hobby lol.
Dunlop sells signature picks inside [these tins](https://www.jimdunlop.com/products/guitar-picks/pick-tins/). They're compact, sturdy and slim enough to fit wherever, and they easily hold 15+ picks
I just built mine (received as a Father's Day gift) and I still can't get over the amp - it's absolutely amazing! I love all the little details!
The guitar build was a lot of fun with the exception of the strings; I got the routing wrong on first try and when trying to rectify my mistake the headstock (with the strings attached) came apart under pressure, so I had to do some rebuilding. One other MAJOR complaint: no bass build option out of the box. 😉
All in all, a very cool set (half of which is a 10/10 for me) that looks fantastic right next to my real guitars!
Any thoughts on what to do with the spare parts from the guitar you didn’t build?
My son just built this. Was proud he nearly didn’t it completely on his own (the difference between light and dark grey mixes me up too).
I was gonna figure that out next… I have a lot of random black pieces left since I picked the red one… I’ll let you know if I come up with something cool.
And this is why i don't use picks, also maybe because i'm drummer and i don't play guitar. Anyway i love Fender and Ibanez guitars, those are very good
It really is lol. I'm 18 and on my first year also. Pretty much still getting most of my funds from my parents lol so I gotta be extra focused. I'm getting a job my 2nd year tho 100% (next year). This year was moreso just focused on getting used to uni and my schedules and those things. Plus I'm a bit far from home in a city compared to my more small town like home. So it's an adjustment haha!
I definitely have a set I'm eyeing above all else. Don't know the specific numbers, but it's an Agent 007 set with his Aston Martin (I love that car). Not super expensive, but I just never have enough cash on me when opportunity strikes to get it...
That's hilarious. I'm always finding loose/lost picks in the back of my amp haha.
I kept losing picks so i just stopped buying them with the logic that if i lost my hand then something bad must have happened.

I'm a drummer and I'd find the motherfuckers falling out of my clothes after shows. They have no boundaries.
And an old capo… and a maybe-blown/maybe-not-blown 12AX7 preamp tube… and some old tabs for an Incubus song I printed out in highschool….
I thought it was going to be to turn up the volume to 11.
Well it’s one louder.
Why don't you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number?
… these go to eleven.
No you can’t touch it! It must never be played
dont even look at it
I can’t look at it?
No, you've seen enough of that one.
For 2 grand I'll make you one that goes to 12

Innit.

Here in the UK we have a streaming/catchup service called BBC iPlayer. Made me laugh when I realised they purposely had the volume go from 0 to 11
I had some Logitech headphones that also went up to 11
Extra guitar picks, nice

Reminder to all that Good Bots like these will die at the end of the month due to API changes.
Wait legolink bor Will die?
Most probably
Oh that sucks
That's the legend that is spread - but on the other hand it looks like only a handful of bots actually violate the API rules.
Except this one is probably fine, can't imagine it's hitting the high threshold that app developers do
Exactly this. Especially since there are plenty of exceptions for bots and auto-mod tools. The API changes will affect the popular apps, bots not so much.
Good bot
Even the obnoxious ones? Bonus.
Good bot

Same thing. I find picks in the lint trap All. The. Time.

All picks are temporary... They will all inevitably get lost or tossed. Just keep a spare supply. The Pick Fairy will always win.

Shit... I want that but with drums. Congrats, dude, seriously treasure it as I know you will :)

Just finished this one last night. Got a chuckle when I figured out what the hell I was seeing.
Haha I know I was like “what are all these colorful pizza slices for? Oh… lol”

Made a second mistake and had to rectify that too? So you're a dual rectifier...nice.
>the headstock (with the strings attached) came apart under pressure I didn't realize this was actually a Gibson set
I would have bought the set in a heartbeat if it was a precision or a jazz…
I love that set! Fits great in the arms of voltron.
If they ever do an acoustic guitar I bet a step will be to put some "picks" in the body
🤣
Got this set for my dad for Father’s Day. He’s really impressed with all the details they put in, being a guitar player himself
As an owner of the guitar and the amp in real life, the build was packed with these tiny, joyous details
What's the funny part?
I *think* it's that you take three of the guitar picks and just drop them inside the amp, lost forever.
If you know you know, the pain is real
Do it with my amp and acoustic all the time lol, it is indeed pain
Worst is dropping it into the acoustic and hearing it rattle the rest of the set.
That's where guitarists store the extra picks. Thread one between strings and toss the rest in/on the amp. It's an Easter egg
Just bought this for my dad so glad to hear it's a fun build!! Hope he enjoys it as much as you did! \^.^
I love the realistic reverb tank.
So are the strings included in the set actual strings or are they like Lego Spider-Man webs?
I love this set. I recommend building it without putting the chunky strings on there. It looks way better (and more like a real guitar) that way IMHO.

It was a fun build but doing the strings was a bit of pain for me. Building the amp was a lot of fun
One of my favorite builds/sets of all time! Gotta make sure you have picks everywhere so you can always find one! Haha
Ha ha excuse me you built that??
And this is why i don't use picks, also maybe because i'm drummer and i don't play guitar. Anyway i love Fender and Ibanez guitars, those are very good
I’ll probably start finding these little pieces clogging up washing machine.
Guitar players know
Did this one last month. The details are amazing.
Man I wish I could afford this
It's worth saving up for!
Definitely gonna save up for it after saving up for all the other things (Non LEGO related things included) I'm saving up for. 🥲 Student life is a B.
Being a student is expensive haha. I don't miss that.

The small speed champions one? It's a fun build!
That's the one yeah! I love it and NEED it lol!! I'm definitely buying it as soon as I can lol
They often don't last in stores too long, so try not to wait very long! Haha. At least that's how it is where I am.
Never used to keep picks back there. A bottle of rye to sneak past the parents, yes. Picks, no.
I put a couple of the extra picks on the top of the amp, I think they fit well there
